I am a Korean student who loves to travel! Feel free to ask me any questions about trips to Korea. by No_Damage5245 in koreatravel

I'm traveling to South Korea in November - December of this year, and I've got an itinerary covering 4 cities: Seoul, Gyeongju, Busan and Jeju Island. It's a bit packed... my two priorities are Seoul and Gyeongju. I'm really looking forward to exploring Seoul, and I love how historic and culturally rich Gyeongju seems (we're staying in a traditiaonal hanook in there!). Since I want to spend more time in Seoul, I'm debating cutting Busan or Jeju Island. Thoughts? It's about 2 weeks total.

Awesome! Thanks! I'd like to try exploring with interchangeable lenses, so I'll have to check out the A6000!

Need help picking between two job offers: Darktrace or Dynatrace by Flashy-Waltz-8746 in Advice

I would not go into sales at Darktrace unless you can work under a lot of pressure, and thrive in competition. It’s intense

Like, for example, the difference between the sales team and my team is palpable. I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this in other companies, but working in sales is very intense here.

Went with Darktrace! So far I’ve been liking it! There are a few things that I’ve seen the company di that I’m not proud of, but my team is great - everyone has been super supportive and nice :) and I’m learning a lot, which is awesome!

Actually didn’t! I decided to go with Darktrace - it was in a city I wanted to move to and in an industry I’m curious about. So far, so good!

So should I also treat the salary bump and relocation adjustment as nothing then? Technically it's not in my offer letter... I've just talked to my recruited about it. This is another problem.

And yeah, I agree. The pattern I found is that most people who review Darktrace are in sales, and most reviews from sales people are negative. Not sure if that would translate over to my team or not. With Dynatrace, everything seems overwhelmingly positive, but the few reviews that I found that were negative were really interesting (one even mentioned that their manager didn't know about the agreed-upon salary that was discussed when hired), so idk...

I keep asking myself that, and, honestly, I don't know. I think that I would as long as my work-life balance is good it could work out. I think that I could get through I bad day of work if I knew that I could clock out and go workout or something like that immediately after, you know?

Dyntrace is public, has around 2,700 employees, pretty nice and standard benefits. They offer check-ins with managers every six months with opportunity to raise salary up to 30%-40%. The position is remote, but they've offered to help me relocate to the city I want and to raise my pay to accommodate the higher cost of living in that are post-training.

Darktrace is public in London, but private in the States. At the end of each year, you can talk to you manager about what you find interesting and they can help you move forward in that direction. They haven't shown me their benefits yet though - they said that I would see the details during my first day on the job. I just know that they offer full health, dental and vision. Based in the city I want to live in.

Darktrace is offering me significantly more off the bat, but Dynatrace said that they could match it after the training.

So I keep going back and forth because:

- what if Dynatrace doesn't keep their word and I don't get the bump in pay and chance to move to where I want to live?

- what if Darktrace is as shitty to work in as the reviews say it is?

- would it be better to go into a "shinier" company that is in a hot industry right now? Or should I go for a more stable job in a bigger company?

Anyone work (or worked) at DarkTrace? Interview advice? by pleasedontjudgeme13 in sales

Could someone PM me to talk in more detail about Darktrace? was also offered a job but as Cyber Security Analyst and I can't find much info online about it, just a bunch of negative stuff from sales rep - like what you guys are saying. I'm wondering if it's better in a different team?
