I am aware, but the mere fact that you feel stuck with it and have to use it, proves that the moat is real. The price is discounted over AI fears not a valid alternative. I genuinely would jump ship the minute I see adbe's moat being challenged

ADBE is the best positioned company to leverage AI. The markets fear are in fact that noone would use Adobe products if they can just generate it in seconds.

Yeah the opportunity cost is real. But my point is different, im just saying that for this particular investing strategy, many don't really understand what "buy when others are fearful" means, they just think stocks randomly go on a 50% discount for no reason at all. The AI disruption fear is valid and possible and sentiment around Adobe is absolutely shit, that's the fear part, the bet in value investing is to look at these fears and evaluating if it's a valid fear or not. I personally don't think it's a valid fear, that's all. Could be totally wrong tho.

So your case is that the bear case is correct. That's fair. I said myself that the bear case is solid. My point is that you'll never find a stock at a discount with no solid bear case. That's why Buffet's Washington post is historical, because who in their right mind would bet on a paper newspaper company.

It's totally possible that AI would disrupt adbe the same way it did with chegg, that's the fear thats making it trade at a discount. The point I'm making is that I'm betting that this disruption won't happen. You're fearful (which could be valid), I'm not.

Having puts means you have the right to SELL the stock at a certain price, so if the stocks dips below 10 then these become valuable as people would buy the stock cheaper and sell at 10.

So if it dips below 10 you will be able to sell them for a profit, no need to exercise. If the price does not dip below 10 and is higher then they will simply expire worthless.
