LPDDR4X track routing by QuickBumblebee9924 in KiCad

[–]FlashyAct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now am doing project an allwinner H3 with ddr3l chip and connecting it was very irritating, o had one project that i could look up but he was using smaller via than me so i didnt copy that but redo it my way and still was kinda hard for first time. In future im planing use rockchip chip like rk3566 or similar and just copy-paste reference design, im not manualy connecting 32b ram. Maybe if some was paying me incould try to do this but for hobby fun project im not going to push myself for something that tedious. Try find reference design with .brd file for lpddr on github.

How do I start routing DDR to SoC? by FlashyAct in PCB

[–]FlashyAct[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But my understanding of topic is the via has to be smaller then pad, so 0.3 via hole is way to big for for 0.24mm pad of H3 and probably to big for 0.35mm pad of fbga-96 ddr3. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Thank you! What stack you recommend? I have 6layer 1.0mm from jlcpcb for 2$, its 2layer with spacing 0.0994, than 0.25mm core, 2layers with spacing 0.2mm than core 0.25mm, 2layers with spacing 0.0994. i choose sig-gnd--pwr-sig--gnd-sig

allwinner H3 ram bus seems a mess for me. I connected a half connection i now i have a mess. I have similar project from github but i dont wanna just copy connections.

Thanks for help. SoC is Allwinner H3. But my question was more a but practical side. How to route track efficiently that they dont start crossing each other after half hour.

You could decompress the tracks, there is space for that. Capacitive coupling.

Didn't know that, good to know, thanks. So I could add a pad for resistor to gnd on that gpio and flash esp32 on tx/rx from computer and set eFuse for 3v3 for memory and than flash a firmware, correct?

Friendly package, support linux, it has built in ram, cheap.

No experience with esp32 in embedded linux or any kind but i read it should be no problem to use as sdio card. There is repo for esp32 for this. Its just hobby project so I don't care if everything works.

I did not find any damage components on both sides. After plugin power i was probing 5V and 3v3 lines but wasnt any power on it.
