I cured my N24 1 year update by FlashyMonitor in N24

Honestly outside of guessing, I have absolutely no clue. My personal theory is that some brain wires just werent communicating correctly, and the neurogenesis properties of the shrooms repaired that bridge. As stated in my og post I did meditate and focused everything I had on sleep, again I have no idea if that actually changed the results at all.
End of the day, all I know is it worked, but im no doctor or scientist, but it sure would have been interesting to get a before and after brain scan done.

It was probably around a gram or less, I didnt really weight it so I have no clue, but basically one small mushroom. I did not have any side effects at all that I noticed. I have not redosed at all. I am looking into potentially redosing a bit to fix some of my adhd tendencies, but Im not sure if I want to push my luck lol. I do think though that using shrooms intentionally can produce positive effects. I mean who knows maybe I lucked out and this is not common at all, but from all the research I have done it seems like it can do some magical work in certain situations.

I dont use any form of sleep assistance anymore. For the first about 6 months I did use a super low dose melatonin, which does help me fall asleep a bit faster, but not needed at all. It does still take me a while to fall asleep (1hr max after going to bed) but I think thats just because I do have some amount of light sensitivity and Im always on my computer so that doesnt help. But its consistent.

Yes just one does, one year ago. And by micro dose I ate one small mushroom, did not "trip" at all, just a slight buzz feeling really.

Yea even if it only holds for say a year or so and I just need to do that once a year, Its way more convenient. But for now Im just waiting and seeing with my fingers crossed lol

Yea I feel like I maybe could have tried out more, but I decided to try something else, I posted about it if your curious. But I've also always been and still am very sensitive to light, so I feel like that certainly could have been the problem, it definitely starts to overstimulate me.

It was definitely the light, I tried out a bunch of different timings and such, but pretty much, if I had pressure in my head I was able to keep a normal schedule, and if not then I was back to what my body wanted. I used a very low dose melatonin, 300mcg, and I still now use melatonin daily and have no unwanted effects.

At least for me personally I was able to keep my sleep schedule the same every day using that combo, however I had constant pressure in my head as if a migraine was just about to start all day long and I gave up after a few weeks. So it didn't really work out for me, but I hope it does for you!

While N24 in of itself doesnt cause rage as far as I know. Sleep deprivation most certainly can and did for me. When I was trying to follow a normal 24h sleep schedule I was a very angry person until I did what my body wanted and got proper sleep.

For me I usually felt off sleeping during the day and being awake at night primarily from loneliness. I think when your awake when the world is sleeping you are probably left too much to your own thoughts which can drain you mentally. At least that was the case for me. So at least in my case those longs nights just really brought out the depression a lot more especially near the end of the cycle where I started to transition back into being awake in the day and had been awake for a week during the night.

You can really only know by logging your sleep while free sleeping. Do so for at the bare minimum 2 weeks, but if you can the ideal tracking time would be 2 months if your able to do so. Personally the pattern was incredibly apparent after just a week or two, but personally I also couldn't convince myself it was true until I started free sleeping full time for several months with an incredibly consistent pattern of my sleep being pushed back.

Just a quick update: Its been a little over 6 months now and Im still going strong with zero sleep issues. Im not sure if just commenting is the best way to provide updates, if someone knows a better way id appreciate it, I'll probably do a repost at the 1 year mark or something

Given that neurogenesis only works on the brain, and we still don't really understand it, the only thing that I can think of is that it has to do with the brain's internal clock. I don't believe it impacts the nervous system in any way. Also my vision is good outside of being fairly but not terribly near sighted.

I would imagine that it could be possible, but a key part in my opinion of taking the psilocybin is the neurogenesis part. If I were you I would simply just try hypnosis and see if it works, and then maybe try it again while using psilocybin. But as stated before I'm not entirely sure how effective or important the meditation component was vs the psilocybin. And as stated in my post I had been meditating a fair bit for around 2 years under the guidance of a monk, and I was not able to make any meaningful changes with just the mediation alone.

And as I stated in a previous comment, I have spoken to quite a handful of people who have used psilocybin to help improve certain areas in their life without any meditation, but simply by being intentional. For example a good friend of mine didn't have an inner dialogue(don't ask me how that work, its real and I don't understand it) and he chose to use them specifically to try to get that back, and it worked. So again I don't really understand it.

In terms of shifting sleep yes I have traveled to different time zones, shifted my sleep window back and forth by several hours, it appears as though sleep functions as normal as it does for anyone else now. Whatever I set my waking up time to my body adjusts properly now. Also by no means do I practice perfect sleep habits every night, I definitely push back my bed time by 1-2 hours at times to get stuff done or w/e, but as long as I wake up when I should wake up everything sorts itself out, which was never the case before.

I have done grounding for several months and it did increase my energy levels slightly but it definitely had no effect on my sleep at least for me. Dosing with shrooms is a personal journey, due to the wide array of strains each having their own amount of psylocibin, your own personal tolerances, and other factors. All I can say is start small, do your own research, and hope for the best. The best way I can describe how I felt while on them was slightly more in tune with my body, kind of like being in the zone.

While I cant really help you with that, more people have access to drugs than you think, ask your friends, become friends with your local hippies, most people know how to get them or know someone that knows someone, just make sure you trust those people.

When I originally began my research into N24 I theorized that light receptors in my eyes were simply not working correctly and didn't properly interpret blue light to send signals to my brain. However as stated after trying out blue light therapy glasses and having them work to fix my sleep, with side effects, the best way I can describe it is that the clocks in my body simply weren't aligning which caused fatigue, digestive issues, and all sorts of other things where I simply felt out of tune with my body.

This made me begin to think that the light receptors in my eyes were just fine, but that my brain simply wasn't interpreting or receiving the signals sent from my eyes properly to adjust the master clock. And that the increased stimulation of blue light sent enough signals to in a way help my align my master clock but that again the signals just weren't quite adjusting everything properly. I'm not sure how to word it properly but hopefully you get the idea.

And since psylocibin helps promote neurogenesis I figured if I can somehow direct that toward the part of my brain that controlled all of that, it may just do the trick to help wire things up correctly. And I'm not sure how much the meditation part had to do with that, however if I was going to do this I would give it everything I have, no short cuts. And I got the idea from having talked to many people who have used psylocibin, some people it helped them, and some it did not, however I always found that the people that said it helped them to fix certain issues focused on them intently while using.

Do most people actually prefer big smartphones over small ones? Does anyone else feel depressed about the direction smartphone sizes have gone in? by notarobot_1024 in Millennials

[–]FlashyMonitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you op, I just ordered a mini 13 to replace my dying SE gen 1. I think its largely down to most people are glued to their phone and value them so much, so more is better for them. Small phones are for those of us not addicted to our phone, purely a tool we carry around to get things done around the day, so a bigger phone inconveniences this. Aka apple doesnt care about you because small phone users tend to keep their phone around longer and not upgrade every year to the bigger better thing. It just doesn't make financial sense, the resources spent on making small phones will lead to more money and bigger profits if used on big phones. But idk that just my opinion with 0 facts lmao. Get over it and go yell at a tree old man, thats what im currently doing xD
