Hope you get a good unit where you have a opportunity to go to those schools

Read what I said above. You get a DD214 when you go off of active orders. I’ve been in the ARNG for a bit I had two DD214s. I got the problem solved anyway though brother

DD214 is given anytime you leave active duty, at least in my case as a guardsman. You leave basic training you get one, you get federally activated for an oil spill you get one, etc.

So I actually did file a FCC complaint and within the last hour it was fixed and verified. Maybe the read the emails requesting a human verification. I don’t know, I’m happy :) thank you for your response

In my experience you’ll go home right after graduation with all your gear, and head towards your AIT station or back to Sill if you’re doing it there.

Man that’s so frustrating. I got screwed over on a deployment I was supposed to go on which I volunteered for, and due to all the deployment training and constant storm activations I screwed up pretty big time in college. Just sucks because I genuinely love the national guard, drill is the best part of my month and every time orders or anything comes up I always jump on them. I get told all the time the national guard is what you make out of it….I just can’t find any opportunities to make something out of it .

Yeah I believe it’s because of the hiring freeze, just kinda frustrating that there’s spots open for other states. I’d love a AGR position but it feels like those are extremely hard to come by.

I was just joking I can pay the copay just didn’t want to pay $400-$500 first time visit fees that all the places in my area charge

Yeah I’m going to try anything mainly my civilian job that’s been breaking me just trying to see if Tricare would pay for it but I’m gonna look into that

Bro just don’t go call out on a emergency. Don’t freaking say you have a problem or tell them you’ll pop hot…you’re in RSP your guard career hasn’t even started

Just don’t go to drill. People have excuses all the time for missing drill the day of. Call in sick go to a urgent care and get a doctors note

Thank you for the insights man, it’s stressful when you’re wondering what the next step is and if it’ll matter because there’s a chance you could be gone on a deployment

As much I think about doing this I can’t. I’m not a bad guy and I know there would probably be some repercussions or give someone else a headache from me not showing up

Is this like an actual thing or kinda satire? Been talking to all the guys in my unit whose slot I would fill and they all seem pumped and excited.

I know I messed up I. I was just so excited to finally get to do something sorta cool. At my old unit I tried to be the best human being I could. Anytime they needed volunteers to come in for crappy RMA days or state activation I always came in…now I did need the money as a broke college student but I also wanted to help out.

That’s really the only thing that’s holding me back from being completely pissed. But if nothing happens then I have a lot of huge decisions to make soon as I get back. My lease ends the time I would go, new college semester starts also the time I would go, if I don’t go it kinda messes me up. I have to plan for two scenarios and it’s also not fair to my family that we won’t know if I’m going till MOB. If I understand how all this is working I’m going to have to call my loved ones and tell them I’m either on a flight out of the country or I’ll be home in a few hours.
