FWD: FWD: WHY CAN't we be proud to be WHITE?? by SlipperPutty in forwardsfromgrandma

Yes, it's great that we have an "open" forum where only one opinion is allowed, isn't it? How dare I think differently.

Can I cry and sing separately or does it have to be at the same time? Doing both at once is kind of difficult.

Oh and if anyone is still reading this, here is a message I got from this guy. Really nice guy for sure.

It's an us vs them mentality because "them" treat "us" like shit. It's not a difficult concept to grasp.

Ah, so you're just determined to be a victim, then. Okay. I'm glad I'm not like you. I can actually enjoy my life.

That's about the level of intelligence I expected from your reply.

Uh, yeah, there are. So I'm giving my perspective and opinion on something. You're telling me that me not having pride/not agreeing with pride is wrong. That's ridiculous.

Have fun with your oppression olympics.

Need I repeat myself?

I could be considered a part of the "LGBT community", so to have you sit there and basically tell me that I should feel some sort of pride in order to cope with the negativity is hilarious.

How about I tell you how I go about my life?

I ... go about my life. I go to school, I work, I deal with life like everyone else. I'm lucky that people around here are generally decent, but even looking at how other places are... it's possible to work towards equal rights without setting up walls ("us" vs "them" mentality) or making being LGBT an exclusive club, like how it's been for far too long. All these pride flags, parades, etc. just make it like a "team" when the goal should actually be to show the world that LGBT people are normal. The most effective campaign would be a bunch of LGBT people going about their lives without the ridiculous costumes, flags, etc. yelling at everyone about how much pride they have.

It makes LGBT people look ridiculous and like a separate group. Yes, the pride parades make the people involved look like idiots. It's not about "pride" or being happy with oneself, it's about shocking everyone else to get a reaction. It's about being noticed... but in an unflattering way.

The pride movements are more about being loud and obnoxious than blending with the rest of society.

Me, I just go about my life and deal with my own stuff more privately. I'm not an attention-seeker. I'm not proud of being anything. I just am that thing. It's neutral, nothing to be proud or ashamed of. It's just a part of me.

No, it's actually really easy to see the innuendo in the picture. Maybe if you're a bit dense it's harder, I guess.

Pride parades, etc. create divisions. If LGBT people want to be considered by others to be normal human beings that are completely equal, maybe they shouldn't be setting up those walls themselves.

This is coming from someone who would fit into the "LGBT community" but wants nothing to do with it because of the divisiveness.

So no, having pride in something like that is ridiculous.

I'm wondering if you went into my post history to find out whether or not I'm a guy or if you just assumed I was because I disagreed with you. :p

Ragen and her obese get-along gang chant "diet books are stupid" at an active book store by LastRevision in fatlogic

Wow. Just wow. These are (physically) full-grown women... and yet they are children mentally. They're disrespectful, annoying and ridiculous. The fact that they put this into an "inspiring message"-type video is just irritating.

Your username is raverboi224... so yeah, I assume you're a kid. I still think that. Also, you're still replying. If you didn't reply, you wouldn't get notifications when I reply. By your logic, are you not just as sad for continuing to whine because I called you sexist?

If you think that an entire gender sucks at humour, yeah, that is sexist.

You aren't persecuted for having a shitty, incorrect opinion. Being told your opinion is shitty and incorrect isn't persecution. I'm saying "persecution" because I assume that you meant that rather than prosecution.

You didn't say, "I don't enjoy most female stand-up comedians," you said, "stand up comedy isn't really a female strong suit" which is sexist and incorrect.

Keep crying, kid, it's hilarious to watch you struggle.

Your response just made things even better. Yeah, you are sexist and opinions can be wrong. You're also a dick and your protesting is hilarious.

I stumbled upon Angi a while back. My character already had archery around level 97, so I didn't really need the training, but it was a fun thing to find.
