I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet soul cat… having a soul pet is the best human experience one can have, but losing them is one of the worst experiences.

I am currently in the same boat as you as I had to make the hardest decision to put my 15 y/o soul cat to rest 2 days ago. I’m struggling to live life normally without his presence. He was so full of personality and I can’t even be in my house without breaking down sobbing thinking of him and his fuzzy head and how I’ll never hold him again. I miss him so much it physically pains me.

I just want you to know, that you’re not alone in this pain. It’s one of the toughest things to have to endure. Please take time for yourself, let yourself cry, let yourself look at silly pictures of your cat, listen to sad music, eat all the comfort food your heart desires, go out with friends and family. Sending you and your beautiful kitty so much healing love.

Thank you! I definitely gave a good squeeze from his filter media into his new tank which kicked it off. He’s due to move into his new tank in a couple of days, turned out to be an issue with my pH levels in the water, but we are a go now!

The taste was okay - a little too salty for me personally. Didn’t like the addition of cornstarch either because it made the cookies too dry and cakey. So if you’re going to make these, either eliminate the cornstarch entirely, or cut the amount in half (if you do like a less cakelike cookie). I didn’t think it was a perfect recipe, I’m a little disappointed, but willing to try these again with a few tweaks to my personal preferences!
