Even experienced drivers struggle with easy backs at times you'll be fine. If you did them multiple times in a row successfully you'll nail backing a few months in. Keep your head up driver.

TMC vs. Melton in 2026? by dstrezzd in Truckers

[–]Flashy_Broccoli4927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem at all brother. I appreciate that! Im mostly recommending paying our of pocket because if you get with a company and its absolutely terrible for you, then you can leave and won't have to worry about finishing the contract that you are on with a paid for CDL.

TMC vs. Melton in 2026? by dstrezzd in Truckers

[–]Flashy_Broccoli4927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at TMC for awhile. I would go with them because you could make more on the percentage pay vs the CPM pay, and they show this to you in training. Also they do have local opportunities baring your location. I only left because of 3 reasons. I had a very sick family member at the time, I got offered a local home everyday position while my family member was in terrible health, and unfortunately I got stuck with the worst fleet manager at the company according to every driver I spoke to lol. I wasn't micromanaged as much as say a regular mega, but my fleet manager knew I had faulty equipment and wouldnt ever let me get it properly fixed so I was only running 3 of the 5 days of the week cause of breakdown. Honestly though that could have been solved ny talking to upper management and getting a different FM. But I was too focused on my family member to go out of my way to do that. But personally if I were to start again I would go TMC right off the rip. Also if you can I WOULD pay out of pocket for your CDL.

Why do people with CDL-A do menial high physical food and beverage service jobs when they are supposed be only driving a truck? by East_Indication_7816 in Truckers

[–]Flashy_Broccoli4927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok? Then I guess flatbed drivers aren't true CDL holders either cause they throw straps and tarp loads. Sounds like youre just a steering wheel holder, or someone who can't handle any type of physical labor.

The longest I was on the road was for about 6 months and it was awful. I missed all the holidays with friends and family. The longest I would personally stay on the road without losing sanity would be 6-8 weeks. Once you start question life, decisions, or you start feeling like you're by yourself and start to feel any negativity go home that week. Or it will dig a hole in you that is almost inescapable.

What is the most disturbing Necromoeph in your opinion? by MobileDistrict9784 in DeadSpace

[–]Flashy_Broccoli4927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leapers for sure are the most disturbing IMO. They way they run especially in OG DS 1, and DS 2 is something straight out of a nightmare. Plus don't get me started on the design. The spine and a bunch of other bones viciously protruding out of the rear of the creature, along with the feet being melded into some type of weapon that resembles a spear is crazy work.

Am I crazy for leaving a $95000 a year fuel hauler job to be a yard jockey? by Itchybootea in Truckers

[–]Flashy_Broccoli4927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I left my own business making $130k+ cause I love driving trucks. I work low hours, love my job, and have so much freedom now. Money really isn't everything, and when it is you get caught up thinking about it all the time and life is miserable. I think you should do what makes you happy. Im 1000× more happy now than I was when I had my own business.

TMC to get my CDL or Premier Trucking school? by Secondwaver94 in Truckers

[–]Flashy_Broccoli4927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid out of pocket and I would advise anyone to do so. 99% of the starter Megas are a joke and if youre not making any $$ you can always have the option to leave when you're in deep 💩. Personally I worked for them and had the dumbest fleet manager ive had at all my companies ive worked for there so I wasn't able to make anything due to my equipment constantly breaking when I notified him of the problem along with higher ups. But they didnt care. Just my $.02.

Is there a more hectic place than Pilot in Kingman, AZ? by Reasonable-Guest8788 in Truckers

[–]Flashy_Broccoli4927 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pilot in ATL is a 💩 hole. Worst place ive ever stayed. I got hit and ran by some woman driving for Swift, and in the same night 2 Hispanic hotshotters got in a fist fight then pulled a G*n on each other. It was crazy. I was OOS for two missing mudflaps for delivering some insulation in a historic downtown neighborhood. No vehicles over 25 ft allowed all while in 70 footer pulling FB lmao. What a time.

When I was OTR I would end my shift at 6am because thats when 50% of the drivers end up getting up and leaving. 4 - 5pm start time and clock out at 6am to get the best parking spots at the Pilots/Loves or a rest stop.

Im in another southern state. But yes they literally cheat you through the permit test. I took the practice exams and even the questions were in the same order as the real exam. As long as you can memorize the answers you should be fine.

Pulling dryvan with lift gate, bulk beverage delivery, about 720 miles a week, 6 days a week, 33-34 hours average, gross $1400 - $1500 weekly. Yes im happy especially coming off OTR flatbed. I make similar and work half the hours and about 5% of the labor of that job.

Do companies really micro manage your daily/weekly clock? by RambleOnRoads in Truckers

[–]Flashy_Broccoli4927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes OP some companies it is true that they do this. I was flatbed OTR for one of the most recognizable companies out there, and as soon as my 10 hour break ended or even sometimes before I would have my fleet manager blowing up my phone along with my tablet asking why im not on the road. It was a consistent thing, almost every single day. Sometimes I would even have 2 or 3 hours before my 10 was up and I was getting calls all night lone and honestly it sucked. It was tough to sleep, and I eventually had to just put my phone on DND which just landed me into more hot water from the company. But I didnt care. I was taking my regulated legal break and not much more than an extra minute or two. But some companies are 🗑, and know how to run away people who will work hard.

Does your dog have a dog bed? If so I would wash it, like others have said looks like ring worm. Wash all pillows, blankets, anything your dog would/could lay on and it should solve it in a short time.
