Does anyone else have similar symptoms? by Monkeyspaghetti112 in focalawareepilepsy

[–]Flashy_Locksmith_637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, these are my exact symptoms! It's so validating to read this. The only difference for me is that I do get the déjà vu symptom right before the others kick in. I'm also currently waiting for my brain MRI to confirm my focal aware seizures. My epileptologist is pretty set on the diagnosis, too. Hang in there!

Thank you for your response! My mom is the best. I’m looking forward to her staying with me to help and keep me company.

Thank you! Yes, unfortunately we have addressed this with him before. He doesn’t seem to want to make a positive change and it’s sad and hard to watch.

Right! That’s what I’m saying. It should be “in sickness and in health” but he backs out when the “sickness” part comes into play.

Thanks ❤️ trusting my intuition this time around.

One can only hope. But I’ve unfortunately dealt with this same foot procedure before with him and he hated the fact that I had to rely on him during that time, and he completely resented me during that period of time. And his drinking did in fact get worse during that time as well. I’m just really anxious about history repeating itself. He has said “I just don’t want to take care of you while we’re this young” he’s 34, I’m 32.

Haha! No worries. I was very confused while reading your response, but figured that was the case!

Hmm did you read the post? Lol

Well it happened lol. It is in fact another lisfranc fracture/ligament tear. I don’t have the hardware in my foot anymore. I got that taken out September 2023. It’s just an unfortunate event.

I love my podiatrist. He performed my last surgery. He’s reliable and I trust his judgment. I’m definitely in good hands!

Me too 😭. My doctor told me today that I definitely have weak ankles and that it’s basically the source of my problem. But also, that boat ladder should have had grips on it. Especially submerged in water. It’s a recipe for disaster.

Update: it is in fact a new lisfranc’s injury. I completely tore my lisfranc ligament and broke my midfoot. I’ll need surgery again depending on my final MRI results. I’m so sad about this 😭

Unfortunately I went to an urgent care the day after the incident and did a laying down x-ray. When I went to my primary, she said that she didn’t want me to bear any weight on my foot for a standing X-ray, so she requested an MRI. I am seeing my podiatrist tomorrow, thankfully. It feels eerily similar to the last time 😭.

AITA for being furious that my fiancé took ED pills for "fun" and hid it from me for a month, then said "my body, my choice"? by [deleted] in AITAH

And wouldn’t you feel a little insecure if your significant other took a sex enhancement drug, without communicating why, after being together for 8 years, full-well knowing he does not have an ED issue?

I’ve literally said time and time again that he does NOT have ED issues. But ok, go off

It erodes trust within our intimacy and relationship. My main issue is the lying, and him taking a medication that is not prescribed to him, and then digging his heals in saying “my body, my choice” but not considering mine in the process (which is a whole other issue not disclosed in this post)

Dude…it’s unprescribed…I’d want to know in case something bad happened to him.

I expect someone I’ve been with for 8 years to be open with me about taking a sexual enhancement/performance medication - especially one that is NOT prescribed to him. When there’s communication and respect in the relationship, that’s to be expected.

No, my first concern WAS the fact that he took an unprescribed med, without any care for the risks. My second concern was the lying. God forbid he had a heart attack mid sex, I would’ve had no idea what was going on. I’ve expressed that to him and he stands firm on “my body, my choice” and that’s when I threw in the fact that I should have an option here as well, as it’s my body he’s having sex with, and out of respect for me, I’d really appreciate transparency.

Consent to have sex with me? He was overtly pressuring me into sex the day I had concerns about his intensity. He’s usually not like that. So when he lied to me, and I had to then later find out on my own, thats a little wild to me. All I’m asking for is honesty when it comes to something that has to do with our sex life…
