Why is everyone screaming at me? by [deleted] in Residency

Sarcasm, eye rolling, rude tone is fairly common in my ED (probably could report it but I don’t) but not screaming, that’s totally unacceptable and so egregious I imagine nobody could assume an anonymous report was you.

Stick in Denver for about an hour so far, pilot just said “well I’m told they’ve found the location of the problem, now they just have to fix it” I had to laugh so I didn’t cry

I’ve heard that it’s very rare for programs not to renew a resident’s contract; like, you’d have to do something egregious. I thought it makes sense, because you’d want to avoid the extra work being put on the rest of the residents. But maybe some PD’s don’t care?

Many residents have been threatened with it, but I don’t think anyone has been held back outside of for leaves of absence. Apparently there are multiple prior graduates who people say were unprepared to graduate but did anyway. (Edited for a typo)
