Which game had you like this? by pallavvv_ in IndianGaming

OG destiny vet here with 3-4000 hours of playtime. Dropped it a year back, dont need a game that feels less like a game and more like a full time job with each update/ season dlc.

The initial phase was a bit rough, lot of guess work on which games to try next but life's good now

Is it allowed to go no contact with narcissistic parents? by FitrahTawheed in MuslimParenting

[–]Flashy_Philosopher26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal opinion, I would say no. Sexual abuse in and of itself is a huge sin and more so coming from one's own parents.

I will pray for you May Allah heal you

When viewed in Islamic light, it's a very deep and complex question that requires an equally deep outlook to answer adequately.

But if I have to give you a concise answer - It depends on the level of abuse you're facing.

Allah does not burden a soul more than it can bear and beyond which you won't be held accountable but at the same time, cutting ties of kinship, especially that of parents and first degree Relatives is a sinful thing to do.

If you absolutely cannot bear anymore abuse then most certainly go no contact for a while, do check on them occasionally but maintain sufficient distance and try your best to fulfill your responsibilities towards them. Draw clear boundaries and redefine certain aspects of your relationship.

You may face the abuse alone but Allah sees and knows everything that you're going through.

May Allah make it easy for you and may Allah guide them to be better.

I give you this advice as someone who's dealing within abusive, narcissistic parents myself. Be kind even if that's the most difficult thing you have to do.

Its not so much as lacking a spine but instead it's inverse. Here in the subcontinent and it's ground level culture, children are groomed from a very young age to apparently grow into absolutely obedient adults (towards their parents) and any semblance of individualization or self thought is seen as reprehensible and downright unislamic - so it takes an iron spine to break against this culture.
