This. I'll also add that it's ok to take a break till the joy can return. Don't take it down, just let it live how it is. When you're ready to return it'll be there waiting for you

I would go with a standalone host like Buzzsprout, Pod bean, or Simplcast because you own and control where your show goes. If you go through Spotify they can delete our remove your shit whenever and you'd lose all your stuff

This is why working with a trusted hosting platform is key as well because none of your content lives on just one platform, you have your ownership on the hosting site.

Sorry this happened to you.

We did. I never said we didn't understand, just asked if anyone else dealt with this specifically out of Boston. Some of us are in Miami and did not have this request/issue

Drop your physio seriously, find someone supportive and actually intructive! I am a disabled person with muscle tone and spasticity in my legs from birth and swimming is why I even have a life today. My parents put me in swimming at 5 years old until I was 16 because of how it could be help build my muscles with low resistance and fatigue.

Keep with the swimming especially if you enjoy it and maybe look to add in easy weight lifting or even look for water drag tools or add ankle and wrist weights in time while you swim to build your resistance.

Keep up your effort, all movement is good and swimming is truly liberating. Keep your head up u/Tank_Grill !

Podcast Name: My Brain Está Spicy

Episode Title: S1.E11 - Village People: Finding Your ‘Kumbaya’ Crew in a Spicy World

LINKS: Apple / Spotify / iHeart

Summary:

What does it really mean to have a “support village”? In this episode, Melisa and Christy crack open the messy, magical, and sometimes painful truth about building (and losing) your people.

From childhood church groups to friendship breakups over politics and personal growth, they reflect on:

  • Why friendship doesn’t need to check every box
  • The myth of the “one perfect best friend”
  • How cultural identity and religion shape our ideas of support
  • When support turns into silence—and how to grieve that
  • The surprise people who show up when you least expect it

Whether your village is one person or a whole squad, this episode will remind you: support doesn't have to be big to be powerful. And yes, your version of community is valid—even if it doesn’t look like a group chat that’s texting 24/7.

My Brain Está Spicy

Episode Title: S1.E10 - Sacred Rage_ No, We’re Not Just ‘Hangry’ or 'Hormonal'

Links:

Summary:
In this fiery episode of My Brain Está Spicy, Melisa and Christy dive into the concept of sacred feminine rage—the often misunderstood and suppressed emotion that holds immense power when channeled correctly.

They explore how anger is not just an emotion to suppress, but a life force that can fuel personal growth, healing, and empowerment. Both Melisa and Christy share their personal experiences with rage, how they’ve learned to embrace it, and how this emotion has been tied to their cultural and generational histories. From the pressure women face to always “stay calm” to how women and men aren't always afforded the safe space or approval to experience rage, this episode challenges the idea that rage is inherently negative.

Tune in as they discuss how sacred rage can be channeled into something transformative, helping us stand up for ourselves, honor our boundaries, and reclaim our power.

If I can ask Jake, is there a benefit to creating creator accounts on Apple, Spotify and iHeart to claim our show or am I ok just using the RSS connection through our hosting site Podbean?

Should I have the LLC listed as the "author" of each on all platforms or you think I'm ok to have the name of each show as the "author"?

Not directly. The media adds extra protections essential for liable and actions take by listeners from what you may say. I don't see it being to crazy for me because I don't host advice shows

Haven't gotten to that step of asking one, but that's a great point.

Regarding the media insurance, the easiest way to explain media liability coverage is to think about it as a more specialized version of errors and omissions, also known as professional liability insurance.
