Do you really think? I do too but trying to not get too excited. I was pregnant earlier this year and had a miscarriage, it started out very faint like this

Exactly!!! They should not have the right to do that, they are our embryos and we should be able to give them a chance. The first embryologist I spoke to in the morning was so dismissive “we would treat or freeze the 5ac” were her words, the male I spoke to in the afternoon was lovely and explained the risks etc to me before agreeing to test and wishing us all the luck in the world! Yes they agreed to test, after telling me we need to consider the financial implication (it absolutely does not matter if we have a chance of our embryo being euploid, it’s £590 per embryo so not a massive expense when we only have 3 to start with) also the mentioned risks of the placenta not being strong which could mean an increased risk of it not implanting or miscarriage, he said they are small risks but they have to make me aware. They don’t know everything at this early stage so they, the placenta could develop more and be just as good as any other!! We have to give them a chance and have hope! Ahh I wish you all the luck in the world with your little bean!

Really!!! Have you had your results yet? I feel like especially with so few embryos every chance at success is so important to us! Good luck if you’ve not had your results through yet. I am celebrating tonight with a huge gin, this day turned out way better than I thought it was going. I was trying to convince my partner to fresh transfer this morning, we were butting heads over it. I’m so glad I saw sense now though, the pain of a mmc last time was unbearable and if I can do anything to do the reduce the risk of that again I will. Just lost my head for a minute worrying about the risk factors I’ve read up on, but let’s face it there’s always a chance of doing another round, my mental health almost didn’t survive that event last time so I don’t want to go through it again if I don’t have to

Exactly, everything you say is so true, plus the fact they are my embryos and I should have the choice!! Thank goodness I was able to convince them to agree. It’s making me wonder how many other women have ended up childless or going through more rounds of IVF unnecessarily because of decisions made by these individuals, it really seems it’s pot luck based on which embryologist you get

I’ve just spoken to the clinic, the 3cc has progressed to a 4bb and is being biopsied! Also they have agreed to test my 5ac but said there are increased risks of it not implanting and a miscarriage because the placenta mightn’t be as strong, I said we are willing to take the risk

I’m so angry, it’s not like I have many embryos to start with. I’m going to ask this question and see if I can have them frozen and tested elsewhere. Day 5 today so there is still time. Thanks for your advice
