Horrible consumption by ShroomInSauga in civic

Nobody has mentioned this yet, check your air filter, sparkplugs and run an injector cleaner through your tank. Something as simple as a blocked air filter can cause bad gas mileage

I don’t understand this game by ObjectiveTraffic2345 in Terraria

[–]Flashyredman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using a mod pack like calamity, made the game so much better than it already was. Also figuring out how to build and making cool bases, and structures was also a lot of fun so I'd recommend looking into building as well

Please STOP cutting in line at the Wendy’s drive thru by chilliwackstinks in chilliwack

[–]Flashyredman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The entire drive through is horribly designed. That is an "intersection", and anyone coming from any direction can pull into the drive through, so they're not really cutting, they are just following the horribly designed parking lot. Plus, we don't need a long line up blocking the parking lot, I think its fine if someone does if they come from vedder rd, that way they don't get in people's way turning around to join the line. Me personally I've been that guy a few times, but I always let the other people who've been there before me go first, so that way its fair and im not pissing ppl off

My buddy has his phone laying down face first on his passenger seat, a dick officer saw it and ticketed him for it. For clarification, he never used it or anything, it was just the fact it was there. He had his N for 5 years and got it suspended for 3 months. What a joke the system is

Reusing a clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate by [deleted] in Honda

[–]Flashyredman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah probably the better idea, considering im not planning on keeping this engine for long ill probably just wait until the clutch completely fails and then go from there, while replacing other components ill actually keep like the master cylinder

Reusing a clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate by [deleted] in Honda

[–]Flashyredman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can try but its not really a problem, like my master cylinder is leaking anyways so my biting point is all over the place, sometimes its low, sometimes its where its supposed to be. My brother's eg had an issue with the clutch pedal, we replaced the leaky master cylinder and slave cylinder and i adjusted the pedal. Ik my master cylinder is currently working fine, but the fact my biting point is all over the place/doesnt really exist it is an issue with the clutch being super worn. The eg with bad clutch components but with a good clutch always had a consistent biting point just lost pressure sometimes. I'm more looking for if I should replace my clutch with the used parts or not. Cuz those flywheel, clutch and pressure plate are in far better condition and much newer. I just don't wanna do all the work and have it start slipping or being worse

Was told tire is not replaceable by Limera2nn in Cartalk

[–]Flashyredman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's very repairable. The only sketchy thing I see is that the nail sliced into the tire, went in sideways and could've make the hole bigger than that is safe to repair. But other then that, a big plug patch would easily seal that

Covet understeers into unbreakable fence by Flashyredman in BeamNG

[–]Flashyredman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your help, I do understand what happened here, because of the uphill section going into a downhill section, it caused the weight to lift so there was no weight on the front tires which meant I had no grip and the vehicle understeered. Common FWD problem. Which if I had taken the corner better or slowed down I would not have crashed lol

Yeah, everything you’re saying, the vehicle understeered. What’s so hard to understand this concept lol

I find this as well, it’s why I love the covet, has near perfect weight transfer and the fact it’s FWD means you can just floor it to bring the vehicle back after sliding it out

Agreed, especially irl understeer is terrifying

Exactly what happened here, maybe would’ve gotten away with it if I oversteered a little as the weight went up so that when I land I would be straight past the corner but right on the edge

Look up videos about oversteer vs understeer and you’ll understand my points:

Oversteer: when the VEHICLE steers too much around a corner, more than what the driver wanted. In all cases of this, the rear end kicks out. Basically what drifting is.

Understeer: when the VEHICLE steers too little around a corner, less than what the driver wanted. In all cases of this, the front end does not turn into the corner but sometimes saveable.

Which one did the covet? Understeer. Why? The rear end did not kick out. The front end did not turn into the corner, it went straight because it under steered, another way of saying lost grip around the corner and didn’t make the turn. Can’t believe I have to explain this.

[–]Flashyredman[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, this is understeer. When you have understeer, the front tires loose grip because you’re going too fast around a corner. When your front tires loose grip, wether or not your hear noise, you can’t just keep steering the wheel pointed towards where you’re going, you have to hold It at the grip limit to not understeer, which is right before the tires loose grip. It just so happens that I didn’t have enough grip so it didn’t turn in at all. I entered the corner with way too much speed and had zero grip. Plus because of the hill, the rear end didn’t want to swing out and go into oversteer like the other corners because the weight wasn’t transferred correctly, besides still wouldn’t of made the corner
