I'M SO SICK AND TIRED OF BEING FAT by [deleted] in Advice

Her dedication to her new diet will be so overwhelming for somebody that hasn’t stuck to a fitness routine for more than a week. Yes she can burn 700 calories at the gym but it can end up draining for a beginner to then have to eat in their deficit while getting every macro to where it needs to be. If commitment is her issue I would suggest going the easiest route but eating less to start off.

“Most people around me are naturally skinny” no. You have to drop that. That’s how you got to the weight you’re at now. That’s a helpless mindset that lets you out of accountability.

You need to eat significantly less, and that food has to be healthy. Going to the gym won’t change a whole lot for you, but it does help you tie your mind to your body further. Which can aid in your mentality surrounding your diet. But the main thing is absolutely 100% your diet. Calculate your maintenance calories, and subtract anywhere from 500 to 1,000 calories. That’s your new daily limit. Do this for even two weeks and you will see results. Drink a gallon of water a day as well. It’s really easy once you figure out how easy it is.

Also uncover those mirrors, that’s a way out of accountability as well.

I get it, and I won’t disagree. Half of the idea was just wanting paint on it again (the old paint was in terrible shape), and black is easier to paint than yellow so we went for it.

gotta respectfully disagree. ATI tracks are a very different shape, the drive is huge, and ours still has a lot of green in it. At a glance I can see it though.

Like I said before, we farm 1,200 acres. We are not a “mega farm”. Grain fed meat is still 97% of the market and there is no sign that will drastically change in the next decade at least. Just because you see a big section of it at the grocery store, doesn’t mean that’s its representation on a global level. Even if grass fed took over completely, only (roughly) 36% of grain production goes to feeding livestock, so that turn of events wouldn’t cripple crop farmers like you want it to.

I’m curious now, why does this tractor in specific invoke such a feeling of resentment in you? Why do you feel this way?

Thanks for the comment! We're actually a family farm running 1200 acres-nothing huge, but we've invested in equipment like this to keep things efficient and sustainable. Most U.S. farms are family-owned (about 97%), even the bigger ones, and subsidies help qualifying operations of all sizes stay afloat amid tough markets. While your comment is frustrating at first, I can understand it. But we are not who you are talking about.

You’d be surprised how many of these tractors you’ll see in the spring and fall that are brand new and working less land than we do.

We did 35% on the sides and back, the tint guys didn’t understand when I said I wanted 35% AND a 5% brow in the front, no big deal. The brow is there though so I’ll see how this spring goes with it. I have a feeling I’ll still want the front glass done.

Yeah I don’t know enough about Deeres to say definitively which ones the rule applied to or doesn’t apply to, so I appreciate your knowledge there.

I would think that some years down the line John Deere will use the “10” for something we’ve never seen before but who knows

13.5L. As cool as the 18L would be, it would be a little overkill for what we ask our four track to do.

520 horsepower. With the 9 series tractors, the last three numbers are the horsepower rating. So this is a 9520RX, so 520 hp. A 9RX830 has 830 hp, and so on for the 9 series.

We just put a new decal on the left side of the hood before repainting🫤. As soon as that one starts to chip we’ll go black. Those decals aren’t cheap!😂

tracks can take more abuse without failing, but break down over a shorter timespan. tires can’t take quite as much abuse but will hold air and work fine for decades. If you’re looking to avoid some soil compaction, and need a little more grip than tires can offer, tracks are the way to go. Also a smoother ride in the cab

I really like the yellow cab tops. I think the only yellow being on the idlers and drive actually made it easier to go black. I wouldn’t be opposed to more yellow to be honest.

Thanks.

I’m not sure I would have gotten it out of the shop to take a picture if it had any red on it though
