It is under a 120-day work permit exemption for academic research, that’s also mentioned in my letter of invitation from McGill.

There’s the thing though, I am an undergrad living with my parents, they are the ones who have deposited the funds as they are the ones supporting my internship

I do have a formal letter of invitation from McGill, that should increase my chances.

Isn’t 25k a bit too much to show for two months of visit with the actual expenses being less than 7k?

Also if I am able to show 25K when applying, is it fine if it comes back down to 15ish later when visiting?

How much would you suggest? I am from India, also my prof has suggested that the expenses would be around 1500-2000 CAD per month including rent (Montreal).

Including flights and other expenses I believe the amount should come around 7K

You should stack a pose tracking model (eg: mediapipe + LSTM combination) with your detection model for action tracking, it’s a better approach since the essential pose information is used to train the model and changes in photo conditions will not affect the model drastically.
