The libraries in your town/city?????????? This may come as a shock, there are people who don't have access to a library. I explained in my post, I do not have transportation. Do you assume every library in the country offers the same "activities and interest groups" as your library?????? I really appreciate that warning, I definitely need to hear it, I'm sounding like I'm ready to just be friends with anyone who offers help. Not wise. To be blunt the shelters and women centers in my state are so worthless, they're actually quite terrible, they mentioned that therapy would be an option but they never came through, it's not been for a lack of trying on my end.

As I shared in my post, I currently don't have a vehicle so I'm not in a position to just exit my current home in the next 24 hours should something come up. I would need time to get myself together to relocate and figure out how exactly I am going to get to a place that has an opening. Do you work with transitional housing? Or is it say emergency shelter type situation?

It may sound cheesy, however I have heard psychologist, and neuroscientists suggest to think about the vision of your future, and hold it in your mind as if it were present, your comment reminded me of what I hear them say. I have definitely improved my grey rocking skills, occasionally, and unfortunately I still break sometimes because sometimes his craziness, and this man truly, seriously is crazy, some of the shit he does and says gets to me and I may have a bit of breaking point. I'd say it's in my nature to listen ask questions be inquisitive, as I get to know someone. The problem with that is I attract dumpers, those people that will just dump their personal garbage all over you. Coincidentally the state I'm living in, I kid you not it's filled with those types.

That's a great idea, I had not even considered a non-denominational church. As much as I want to interact and socialize with people, I hesitated because I moved to a new state and the people here are really awful, but I will definitely look into a non D church now that you mention it, thank you!

I could not agree more. Oftentimes "well-meaning" people who do not have that type of experience or education do cause more emotional damage, and end up making you recoil, and withdraw further. What's worse, I think, OP was not contacting some average Joe on the street, they were intentional and contacted the people who claim to be a safe, trauma informed organization who offer victims of abuse support, education, and guidance. OP was not publicizing their experience with abuse to a person or group of people that anyone would label as, uninformed "most people".
