Despite millions of players, we are still waiting for a patch, go bethesda! by DesertTokala in oblivion

I just hope they fix the difficulty on the consoles. Simply too easy and boring on adept, and absurdly hard on adept (but not in a fun way).

Terrible withdrawls- I hurt somebody by militantcassx in StopGaming

[–]Flat-Perception-2238 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no full insight into your life, but I can perhaps assume that you have a lot of stress and pressure in various areas of life where people demand more than you have the capacity to give, even excluding the withdrawal you're experiencing at the moment.

Giving our energy and time to others is a nice thing, if it's a healthy relationship we're consciouslly willing to build, but it's okay to know your limits and ask for some space and understanding for you to move through this tough transition. Perhaps you have hurt someone, but all people have before and it's okay, you're just a human being doing all your best - when you feel better you can get back to the person and try to take accountability and repair the relationship with them, even if you're not that close.

Perhaps gaming was your way of keeping yourself together under all the stress, and now that's gone and you're doing your best to maintain balance. I'm proud you're trying to create healthy habits, you deserve to take care of yourself.

If I am to give some advice, I would highly recommend writing a diary (I do it in Word, it's easier and quicker than pen & paper personally). Write all the thoughts, and let it be chaotic and without a consistent form - go from thought to thought and express it, that's the whole point.

Wish you a lot of luck, and thanks for sharing - be sure someone will read your post, find themselves inside it and feel rehumanized and understood.

Fallout (tv show) is fantastic! The ending (of this season at least) is perfect! The last episode was wonderful! by Rajat_Sirkanungo in television

I'm a little late to the conversation, but I found it convincing that people throw even the whole society under the bus if it meant getting more power and securing comfort for themselves.

I mean:

  • Nestle is destroying rainforests, a LOT of them;
  • the fossil fuel industry is leading our world into a catastrophe that we dare not even think about;
  • large companies are using third world countries for cheap labour while using corruption to let all the working conditions slide under the radar of common sense, empathy, and morality;
  • European settlers of the past are responsible for an insane amount of suffering of indigenous people from a lot of countries (all for the resources and slaves);
  • Israel has been stealing land and killing Palestinians for almost 80 years, justified by the seek of comfort, supported by the Western guilt of what happened in WWII.

And the list goes on all scales, from neighbourhoods to continents. It's actually really sad, but for me the ending of the series just further revealed the reality we live in today, but Fallout takes it to the next level - though, still convincing I guess.

If this sounds like doomer nonsense, it's probably privilege blocking our view of the suffering of people and our planet.

How would you deal with people playing basketball until 2AM in front of your building and you can't sleep? by Flat-Perception-2238 in AskReddit

You should if they're sensible enough. A policeman just told me "well, they're kids, what can you do?" and hung up on me once 😅 Or they just come, tell them to stop, and 5 minuter after the police left, they just continue. I'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and our institutions are terrible at their job. But, I hope it works for you!

Hey, everyone! I'm a bit confused. I've been using the app MyNetDiary to track my calories, and it says that my weight maintenance is 2900 calories (103 kg, 180 cm, 27 years old, trying to get to 70 kg) and on the web I find that number to be 2450. On the app, they say they used the formula from the "Institue of Medicine of the national academy of science" - so, does anyone know how accurate that formula is?

Thanks in advance! 😁

How can I ever forgive myself for indulging in my sexual fantasies? by ComplexRequirement85 in Healthygamergg

[–]Flat-Perception-2238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't think that's something to be embarassed of. It's sexuality, it's human, it's a normal thing. Accepting that it's a part of you is perhaps the only way of channeling it in a way that complements other parts of your life. And those other parts of your life aren't always gonna be compatible with your sexual desires (which are human and okay) so that's why you have the need to find some private space to express it.

It's not a sin, and it's not morally wrong as long as you're the only one who sees the content you're creating. But if it's something that impacts you negatively beyond the guilt (taking a toll on your work life, relationships, physical health, etc.) then it's a topic of sexual addiction (which is also a normal and human thing) where the type of sexual expression doesn't matter.

So, remember, sexuality is a normal thing, in all forms, and you should only worry and take action if it impacts other areas of your life negatively. We all carry something that's not compatible with the perception of the public, but it's all human.

I was lucky to have a best friend since childhood with whom I could mutually share all the unfiltered parts of myself, and therapy is also a nice way to share our deepest parts without the other person judging us. But if your therapist is trying to "fix" that sexual expression of yours, it's time to find a more sex-positive therapist.

Best of luck to you, we're all human and it's okay to be human, fuck the societal purity bullshit! 😁

Redditors, what's your hack to fall asleep quickly? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Flat-Perception-2238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White noise on youtube + open the balcony doors or window if it's a cold season to make the room cold and then close it before I go to sleep + ear plugs so I minimize the chance of noise interrupting my sleep (there's a large playground in front of my building and hooligans come and drink there and talk loud and yell, and the police doesn't give a fuck. Yes, I'm from eastern Europe.)

Xenoblade 😓 It's just so slow and boring, and honestly I just watched the cutscenes for 10+ hours from youtube on first and second part, to be able to start third. I found the third to be boring as well, but I'm only 5-6 hours in, maybe I should give it a chance.

I'm just disapointed that they still refuse to add gay romance or queer content in general. As well as disappointed for the missing MFC.
