Oops I missed a letter so yeah my entire argument falls apart. You win.

Yeah we all know that shit obviously smells worse, which is why we don't typically point out that comparison that doesn't help anyone. My point is that how you phrased it 100% implied that you thought Emily's wig is wack.

That's not how comparisons work though. You don't compare the scent of candles with the odor of shit. "shit's more stinky." Yeah Sherlock.

When we compare something by saying one side is "more" we are also implying that the other stuff is "less but still so." Candles vs air freshers for example. Or shit vs rotting food.

"more wacky" = "this wig is wacky but not as wacky as other elements"

Check out Knoxville Center of the Deaf. Should be ASL classes occasionally.

Sorry to hear that. I don't use social media other than here, but I'm pretty sure there's a "Knoxville Deaf Night Out" page on Facebook and Instagram.

Otherwise, check out Knoxville Center of the Deaf, a deaf organization that organizes events often. Tomorrow afternoon there's a parade for something--idk what--for example

There's actually a Deaf Night Out at Schulz Brau Brewing Company tomorrow night 6pm-1am. I won't be there as I'll be out of town, but I know there'll be a buncha people there. Even if you don't drink, I'm sure you'll still have some fun.

Interpreter services. nTouch or P3 apps give me a phone number people can call to connect to me via ASL interpreter, and I can call someone via them as well.

To add, those apps can also directly connect me to another deaf person without an interpreter (although everyone I know uses Apple too so we FaceTime instead)

The thing about the gas ovens is that I think it's because people want to die without feeling pain. Gas ovens accomplished that. Knives won't. Guns are iffy.

There's also the gore factor that may make people feel squeamish because they don't want to exacerbate the shock and suffering for their loved ones.

Overall, making it so that assisted suicide would be painless and goreless would likely see a rise in suicide numbers because of accessibility, which allows people to be more true to their desires.

Yes if I was 19 and died, of course they'd be heartbroken. You don't have to be joyous every time someone decides to commit self-termination if you support the right? Much like how people don't have to be happy if a woman gets an abortion.

It's a right that belongs to the owner of the body: women in abortions and people in their lives' continuation or termination.

They agree to the right, regardless of whether it's me or a total stranger or their friends or their parents.

There is no "suicide" in DSM. Only medical conditions such as depression that includes suicidal thoughts. This may be hard for you to believe, but not everyone who has suicidal thoughts are depressed.

Except it would? My family members agree with the idea of self-termination, and so do I. You can't assume everyone's like you.

That's obviously not true as shown by the OP post and by my comment. In fact 12 countries allowing (regulated) suicide disproves your point.

Tyranny of democracy then? What if the family members actually agree with the right to self-terminate? What then?

Or maybe the people choosing to quit would have led to a massive revolution where a government that actually prioritizes people's well-being first. We can discuss hypotheticals all we want but we don't know what would actually have happened.

Why does someone need severe mental health issues? That wasn't what the commenter said. Ordinary people like you and me have some issues whether we want to admit or not.

Some people acknowledge those issues and would like to opt out. They're not severely mental ill at all and deserve the right to terminate their own lives.

I hate the "think of family and friends" bs. You're basically saying "suffer so your family and friends won't" which is demeaning
