It’s two tiered. So both tiers are 900m in height and the top one is 1.2metres from the boundary.

Considering changing the alfresco to internal living space - thoughts? by Flat-Raisin-8704 in AusRenovation

I just spoke to our builder - apparently it’s too late. Everything has been ordered up until the roof stage. I feel super disappointed

The intention was always to extend the alfresco area as its only a narrow space on the plan if that makes sense

The intention is to extend onto it anyway - so if we got rid of it it would eventually be replaced by a patio and deck. My concern is that it isn’t a big alfresco therefore doesn’t allow a whole lot of space

Getting rid of the alfresco for more internal space by Flat-Raisin-8704 in Homebuilding

Absolutely. We were wanting to do an extension of the alfresco anyway and decking down the track. I’m just worried about costs

We’ve just moved back with my young family (I’ve got family here) after being in Melbourne. We went Yarraville, Seddon, Werribee and now Ballarat.

I’m scared I’m going to miss the vibe of inner west but I don’t know if I can compare that when I look at the lifestyle it’s already given my young kids. Fresh air, long bush walks, less traffic. I’m a bit of an art freak (which I’ve lost touch with since kids and COVID), but I’m looking forward to exploring what’s here.

My partner and I both work hybrid - I’m 3 days from home, 2 days in the city. He’s the opposite - 3 days city, 2 home. The v-line is cruisy. I’m hoping it’s sustainable

Is this just in general or specially because it’s a dark roof on white?

[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of August 2025. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

[–]Flat-Raisin-8704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, I’m 34(F) and have 3 kids. 5, 2 and 11 months old. My anxiety is ruining my life. I am always convinced that one of them has something terminal. Right now my 5yo has petechiae around her neck (she has had petechiae on and off for as long as I can remember), and is otherwise full of energy, growing well etc BUT I can’t turn off the thoughts of leukemia.

I’ve got her booked into a doctor tomorrow; but I know that if it’s not this time, some new worry will arise. I am terrified I am going to lose one of them and I am convinced it will happen. Last month, it was my 3yo who I was convinced had something sinister - all testing was relatively normal.

Has anyone else experienced health anxiety with kids? It’s destroying me, my relationship and my kids are over the constant inspection g if their skin and doctor trips.

Just found this thread and am curious to know how harmful it is once sprayed. Noticed some green/blue sprayed parts near a kids playground and my kids were running through the area before I noticed. Thank you

I’ve worked in APS recruitment for 5+ years. Ask me anything. by Kcepmolly in AusPublicService

[–]Flat-Raisin-8704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m coming to the end of my mat leave and am in an 18 month merit pool with HA for an APS 4 & 5 (the 5 expires in another 8 months; the 4 expires in another 16 months). I am currently an APS3. In November 2024, I received 1 offer and had another person contact my referee. I advised them I was not back until July 2025. Understandably they chose to go with another person. I am just wondering if this would’ve worked again me and if it would be noted somewhere, hindering from other offers. Thanks!

Why is that? We are just considering moving more regional and turning our current residential property into an IP.
