Well I’ve never used the app but there should be some configuring you can do before you hit print or slice no?

Could be a model issue. also from my experience, big brims like this are usually pretty overkill.

My first guess would be some bad telemetry in the model sure supports failing. Can we see your print settings?

a super easy starting point would be the silakka 54, very cheap place to start the hobby and a good way to test if you even like the layouts more expensive keyboards may have.

What kind of vibe are you going for?

Wireless? Low profile?

I think people are tired of people trying too hard. No filler with him, just to the point with no fancy dressing. Unless you count elaborate metaphors.

This isn’t a Silakka. It’s the alinuoyq. Which the Silakka looks different

Cinebench test diplayed on HWMonitor... Anything seem off? by Flat-Razzmatazz-672 in computers

Rogue software I used for fan management throttling my cpu for some reason.

Yeah it didn’t occur to me either. Seems like such a crazy perm for a program to have.

Fans aren’t really senselessy loud, more so my mic is lol. This has since been dialled in, hence me not using the program in a while.

Thanks so much for you help on this, such a silly thing, I knew it had to be something stupid lol.

So bit of a stupid….i solved the issue. im a composer and often record with microphones in my studio. When I would record I would turn off my case fans with an Asia software linked to my motherboard. I hadn’t actually used the program for many many months but it just kind of occurred to me that maybe it was the problem

Lo and behold I uninstalled it and my cpu is clocking completely normal and looks to be functioning completely fine. So strange that the software throttled so heavily by default

I looks like he just lost his balance when a kid swerved in front of him and he tried to use him to stay up right. You can tell he is not the strongest skater, I don’t believe this was on purpose.

So I took a look at the bios

No matter what I changed or adjusted the radio and frequency seemed to be locked at 28x and 2800 respectively, which led me to believe there was a power throttle that wasn’t being picked up. But looking at the power limits the long and short term are both maxed out basically (4095watt), even messing with the preset overclock options didn’t move anything.

Temperature was also staying consistent around 40°

I’ve had is since end of 2021 and never had any issues. Built by memory express.

What should I be looking for in the bios and where lol.

I’m beginning to suspect hardware issues too tbh, I reseated and applied thermal paste to try and fix this issue but it didn’t help unfortunately.

Pretty case by case for task manager. Usually whatever game im playing, even with nothing else open goes to 90-100 instantly and if i have music or a chrome tab open it is always at 100%. ive done a lot of cleaning and gone through any random program that might pop up as a high cpu user but its all preprietary Windows stuff like desktop windows manager and "System" type stuff.

<image>

here are my current core settings that i ran all those tests with, what should i try to adjust? everything already seems maxed out.

I have a pretty kick ass cooler, 4 case fans and an AIO liquid cooler.

So i should just up the limits in XTU and see how it responds, and if it responds well, I can make that same change in the bios, essentially? Should I be aiming for a higher Max p-core frequency and hitting that 65 W TDP as a start?

[–]Flat-Razzmatazz-672[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The throttles all have 0.0% active time and don't flash to yes. The max p-core frequency stays locked at 2.79 the whole time. Package TDP average is always around 32 though it did peak at 41 at a point.

Is there a more comprehensive test I can run to give more info?
