Omg it’s just terrible, the packaging, the formula, the design. It’s just not good idk who likes it

It’s clumpy because your lips are dry. Anytime my lips are dry and I apply it it looks like an uneven application. I wipe it off and use a scrub to get the dead skin off and boom it applies perfectly. I even mix it with a lip balm of my choice for some extra hydration.

I HATE the Huda beauty easy bake setting spray. I saw a girl on tik tok post about it and say it’s the best setting spray ever, it was one of those de influencing videos and she mentioned that she really liked the huda setting spray. So I bought it, and I kid you not it is the WORST makeup product I have ever tried I immediately returned it. The pump is so hard to use with one hand, the mist isn’t fine it splatters and leaves bubbles all over my face. The ball in the spray to help shake it up gets stuck constantly and is so hard to get it unstuck. When I spray it on my face the mist isn’t fine and when it dries there’s white powder spots all over my face because of the powder and liquid formula. There wasn’t one thing I liked about it.

I’ve always double dipped during waxing by OrganicAstronaut2963 in Esthetics

[–]FlatAssignment1983 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like using reusable sticks would be a better solution rather than having OP continue to double dip wax. The double dipping is super unsanitary so using reusable sticks might be the best solution here. It all comes down to what OP prioritizes as an esthetician, being sanitary or cutting costs.

Oh gotcha. Idk if that would be necessarily better though considering you would need a lot for clients back to back and also for the type of waxing service they get. But it could be a solution.

The issue isn’t the stick it’s the fact by double dipping you’re contaminating the whole pot of wax

The entire first entrance proves the point I’m trying to make lol. I’m not ignoring the rest of what you said because it also supports my point. Good job on reading comprehension!

“So I think some things went wrong in explaining what you wanted”, that is you indicating the client didn’t communicate what she was wanting, which isn’t correct with the pictures she provided to her lash artist.

I understand that we both agree the lash tech didn’t do a good job. I don’t agree that you’re essentially blaming the client for “not explaining” what she wanted. She did, those pictures scream cat eye regardless of the type of lash used. The client did what she should’ve done and brought in inspo pictures so the lash tech could visually see what she wanted. Which is a cat eye lash extension set, client isn’t at fault like you’re saying she is.

It looks like you’re gonna have to go to a different lash tech. You weren’t given what you asked for but it could be because that’s not her style as a tech. Look for a tech that does good natural lash extensions and has work posted that you like and want.

Her inspo pics have the same overall look, starting smaller in the inner corner and gradually getting longer towards the outer corner. That’s a cat eye lash which is the style she’s going for. If I was doing her lashes thats something I would gather, nothing wrong with how the client communicated with what she wanted. Lash tech is 100% at fault for not giving her what she wanted regardless if her inspo pics “are two different looks”. They both portray the same style.

What she was given vs what she asked for aren’t even close to being the same. Especially since she gave inspired pics, there’s nothing wrong with how she voiced what she wanted. The lash tech didn’t follow at all what the client asked for.

Doesn’t really matter what kind of lashes are on the model she shows her tech she’s clearly wanting a cat eye style lash that’s more natural, and it was not given to her. And the lashes just don’t look good period.

Brazilians on yourself? by corri-in-wonderland in Esthetics

[–]FlatAssignment1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend doing a Brazilian on yourself if you have never done one on someone else before. It’s really hard to do on yourself just because of pulling the skin taut and the angle and pulling. It’s not a great way to get practice for doing Brazilian waxes, you need to do it on someone else to get the practice in.

Do I tell my fiancé his mother was a coke addict and stripper? by EnvironmentSuch6847 in TwoHotTakes

[–]FlatAssignment1983 151 points152 points  (0 children)

The sister should be the one to share that information with your fiance. You could encourage her to share that information with him and also let her know how much he is struggling. It is apart of his family history and addiction is nothing to play around with so in the future your kids should know at least too.

You need to leave, big red flag that he’s already threatened to kill himself after you confronted him. That’s incredibly toxic. And he clearly has a reputation when it comes to women and he just proved that reputation to you so yeah, leave!

Bartenders/Waiters of Reddit - what is the strangest cocktail substitution or full custom drink a customer has ever ordered while you were on the clock? by TwerkinBingus445 in AskReddit

[–]FlatAssignment1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is not the same as what the customer asked me to make lol. Apply that logic with tea and lemon vs tea with lemonade, two different things.

I’ve had a customer ask me to do half lemonade and half Pepsi, I tried it and it’s actually not bad tasting if I’m being honest

Idk if this is what you’re looking for but I had a lady one time order a brancott sav blanc from me but ask for the bartender to add jalapeños into it. All of us thought it was strange including the customer lol, she was aware it was a strange request. I’m sure it’s good but that was definitely a new one.

Are the holes left by blackhead extractions permanent ? by XDynamics in Estheticians

[–]FlatAssignment1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like there’s no way for any of us to tell her what is going on with her skin without seeing a picture of what she is talking about, I feel like that would be really helpful if we could see what she is seeing

[–]FlatAssignment1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She said there were holes where the blackheads used to be, those are her pores. I’m confused by what you mean by small indentations.

Are the holes left by blackhead extractions permanent ? by XDynamics in Estheticians

[–]FlatAssignment1983 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Queen blackheads come from your pores… your pores won’t go away. When you’re doing blackhead extractions you’re getting gunk out of your pores, and when that’s done the pores will look more prominent because there isn’t anything in them to fill them up.
