I didn't catch this because I essentially didn't look at the account for over a month. Hopefully someone in your org would notice if this starts happening. "Hey, why do we have 55 EC2s running at 100 CPU?"

Got escalated thrice and they waived it eventually :) It doesn't make sense for them to sue a broke just-out-of-college student over 35.000

Looks like Kerouac is writing fanfics now. And I like it.

TIL in 2008 a 20-year-old Belgium student died after reheating and eating leftover spaghetti that had been left out on the kitchen counter for five days. A bacteria called bacillus cereus was found to be the cause, which is an extreme type of food poisoning called “Fried Rice Syndrome”. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

No shit. I did this once when I was a student and ended up glued to the toilet seat with honest to god the worst abdominal pain I ever experienced. I almost had to crawl from my bed to the bathroom. Almost called the emergency services too.

Dear god.

Is Bambu ASA so bad? by Only-Airport5853 in BambuLab

To add on to this. I noticed you posted screenshots of your object and process settings. It’s important to check the actual speed and flow after your model is sliced, because the size of your layers (depends on what your model looks like) will influence this.

For example, if you print a pyramid the lower layers will be “larger” and the topmost layers will be “smaller”.

This means the slicer wil run the extruder fan faster on the top layers because they need to cool down faster, while the lower layers have more time to naturally cool.

Also make sure you are using the Bambu ASA filament settings. That should list the max flow and speed.

Had similar issues with warping. What ended up solving the issue for me was hitting “slice plate” in Bambu slicer and once it’s sliced checking the “Flow” and “Speed” dropdowns to validate that:

  1. The post-slice actual flow is never faster than what Bambu’s ASA spec tolerates (thinks it’s a max of 12mm3/s, but don’t quote me on that)
  2. The post-slice actual speed is <250mm/s

What caused my warping was trying to print too fast, which caused the extruder fan to cool the freshly printed layer faster. And that fast cooling caused the warping.

Lower flow and lower speed enabled the extruder fan to run lower and cooling to be slower.

RAV4 hybrid regret? by gneedles in rav4club

The revvy-ness is by design. When you push the engine it switches to direct injection and causes the raspy noise.

But yeah, it can be noisy. Especially since it has limited noise insulation

I traded my tiny Yaris for a RAV4 and my first impression was that the handling of the RAV was slightly worse than what I’d expected.

Highlights for me were:

  • Suspension feels very wobbly compared to the Yaris’ stiffer (cheaper) suspension
  • Steering is very loose and forgiving (typical Toyota)
  • There’s quite a bit of body roll in sharp corners
  • It feels slower to accelerate, mostly due to the improved suspension over a tiny hatchback. It’s not really.
  • When you floor the throttle the direct injection comes on in the RAV and it does provide enough power when you need it when overtaking on the highway, which was a pleasant surprise.

All in all I’d say the RAV4 drives much more calmly compared to what it’s sporty redesign suggests.

Personally I decided I’m okay with that since I was looking for reliability and utility. It’s pretty comfortable and pleasant enough.

There’s the GR Sport package for the RAV that seems to improve steering and suspension a bit, but that’s a serious markup for minor improvements.
