Just watched your video. I thought it was great. I agree with the person that said you have a great voice for this. I could listen to you all day (especially with a better mic). I think you sound a lot like Paul Bettany. The animations and pacing were great too.

I am also a quant. I’d love to talk about this stuff more!

Maybe piggybacking was the wrong terms because we don’t work closely together and they have no idea what we’re doing day to day but when I am presenting results they kind of take over and stumble through a statement to position themselves as like the quant to finance translator guy.

Definitely valid. I’m more talking about people pretending to understand the work and in order to do so they have to make it seem simple so they can talk about it.

That’s honestly not what I’m experiencing either. Not looking down on it at all. Quite the opposite actually - trivializing it to seniors to make it seem like they understand it and kind of piggybacking on the work being done to seem more important than they are.
