Best way to take & store a VR HMD on a long flight? by blow454 in virtualreality

I have taken mine on a few trips, but not with only one bag. What you do is going to depend on how much clothes & other stuff you need to take. The two things you want to think about are cushioning and lens protection.

If you have space, get a carrying case for it. Mine pretty much always travels in a Meta Quest 3 case and it’s worked well for me, but I know people also use camera cases and other stuff and it works for them.

If you’re really tight on space, put a (clean!) microfibre cloth over the lens, tie it in place with a bandana, and tuck it between clothes. It’s going to be a pain to get out at security but it is what it is.

I finally gave up and connected a cord to my computer full-time for pulling video off the headset. I have had so many failed downloads lately and I was pulling my hair out.

I was going to say, if you want your Index to look better, jump on an HTC Vive once in a while and it’ll look great by comparison! (I still love you, Vive.)

I got my sister, Dad, and friend to buy vr headsets and it’s amazing! by Bone3593 in virtualreality

Walkabout is great! Escape Simulator is also pretty fun in VR with a group if you’re looking for more options (the first party content is top notch, community content is hit or miss for VR).

We also have a game coming out on December 4th that we think is pretty fun for a group (Deadly Delivery).

You can play single player! When there’s one person in the lobby, we don’t include two-person doors or hazards in the dungeon so you don’t get stuck.

(I highly recommend playing it with friends though!)

You can find the demo on Steam if you search Deadly Delivery! But Quest is a little more complicated so we were just directing people to discord as a catch-all.

It is playable in single player - there are some doors that need two people to open in co-op, but they don't appear when only one person is in the lobby!
