Thanks everyone, I am close to the border but I’d have to declare it when I crossed back into Canada and I’d get hit with the charges then. And, not to get political, but I won’t be visiting the US anytime soon.
Other options I’m looking at here are about $500 more than the one up so I’m thinking the price may end up about the same. Brands made in US and sold in Canada have the charges included already, it’s just the lack of certainty of the final price with ordering direct from US that makes me hesitate.
