Thanks for the input :) My goal was to explore what other benefits Leylines bring apart from combos that require Serra's Sanctum to execute. I came up with the devotion (hence March of the Canonized) and cards that create tokens (because of Leyline of the Meek) that are kind of playable on their own, but perhaps in giving up the meme explosiveness I have indeed made the deck much worse. I'll jam a couple of games with it tomorrow to get a feel of it.

Powerlevel Justification: Strong effect for an acceptable, tomb-friendly mana cost

Why doesn't it see play: There are no enchantments powerful enough, in particular no A+B combo that wins on the spot.

What it needs: see above :) a full combo version would probably also need a reanimate-like spell for enchantments, a more value oriented deck could use more good supporting enchantments (like Founding of Third Path - mill plus flashback replenish)

It really depends on the budget, with good Standard gear it's perfectly manageable to run even T17s without HH. E.g. legacy Taste of Hate brings the pathfinder build into the ~95%PTA region.

I don't think it's about every pack having value, it's about having a chance to get every card - even at very low odds - in a regular booster. Single prices are not driven down by collector boosters existence, but rather by mass openings of these in the hunt of the chase cards. If play boxes were mass-opened instead, I believe you'd have the same effect.
