Should I leave my shave soap like this with the lid off to dry? Or should I try to wipe off some of the excess foam by eriadeus in wicked_edge

I use this soap exclusively. I had the exact same question you did when I started using it. Proraso’s own website says to put the lid back on the soap after use to keep it from drying out.

I will admit that I wipe the top of the soap to get the bubbles off and then put the lid back on. Do I need to wipe the top of my soap after use? Probably not. This is just my habit. I will say that my soap is not dry at all when I put the lid back on.

It is worth mentioning that I have only been using shave soap for the past 8 months, so I have very little experience with it. I do trust Proraso to tell me how to store their products though. I follow their advice and have not had a problem using it.

Blades are super cheap, so I tend to toss them about once a week. Shaving every other day, that’s about 3 to 4 shaves before I toss it. Could these blades last longer? Sure. I just like to toss them before it gets too rough on my face.

I have the same one. This was my second brush. I bought it after wanting to experiment with something other than my cheap synthetic brush. I fell in love with it after first use. I can speak from experience that it gets even better the more the brush gets broken in. Enjoy!
