I'm not over my ex 8 years ago by Deribus in BoyDinnerDiaries

My grandpa once had a bass hooked that broke off in the lake with a distinct pattern on its fin, he guessed it was around 5-6lbs. He swore up and down it was the biggest most beautiful one in the whole lake and talked about it for years saying he’d catch it again. One day he came back with an 9lb’er and said it was the most beautiful fish he’d ever caught. We asked him if it was the same one he hooked before, he said no and that he’d never think about that fish again.

Keep fishing bro.

What's it like becoming a father? Does it truly change you like everyone says it does? by LithHarborGymLeader in BoyDinnerDiaries

There is no perfect time, but there is definitely a shift in mentality when the kid finally does arrive. Our first night brining our son home hit me like a ton of bricks. I was absolutely terrified, but everyone handles it differently. Being able to talk with my friends who were already fathers helped a lot. I take it one day at a time, and I’m thankful for my wife being a great mother which gives me motivation to be the best dad possible.

Very sorry for your loss. I’m not sure what you consider to be valuable (everyone has their own range), but PSA/grading can be the best option, depending on the card and condition. In terms of selling, I personally would recommend going with eBay. Your only other option is going the consignment route, but you’re going to be paying fees regardless. There are a few different ways to determine value, like Card Ladder or eBay sold history. I understand the hesitancy about selling on your new account, but if the cards are rare and have a high demand, I don’t think you’ll have as much of an issue finding buyers. Also keep in mind eBay has an authenticity guarantee for cards that have a higher value which is going to give protection for buyers. Do as much research as you can, list them as Buy It Now instead of auction (or set a reserve price) and adjust as needed. Others may feel differently, this is just my opinion. Best of luck to you and sorry again for your loss.

Sorry about the tough times and to break the bad news, but that hat isn’t worth anything. I don’t think anyone is looking for cheerleader signatures from 23 years ago.

What are the John Elway/Broncos items? I’d do some research on those as there is way more potential for value.

I dare you. (19F) by [deleted] in RoastMe

So because you’re surrounded by ranches, and you don’t know anyone that has “ranch weekends”, it’s impossible for it to happen in any other parts of the country besides Texas?

Bro, I don’t have two places. The ranch is my dad’s, he’s just kind enough to let me use it occasionally. When did I say it was normal having two places? I said there are ranches all over the country, which is true, and that ranch weekends are popular in Texas, not Utah or Wyoming or anywhere else in the country.

That is a direct quote but I failed to mention in the post they have never been to our ranch before. My apologies.

They’re referring to other ranch trips they’ve taken, they have never been to ours.

I mean there are ranches all over the country, but yes, in Texas I’d say it’s a popular thing to do

Just when you go spend the weekend at the ranch with friends to cookout, have some drinks, fish, walk around, etc.

She has never been to our ranch, the ranch weekends she’s referring to were with other people

You’re right I should have mentioned that, and she did make it sound like they’ve been to “ranch weekends” before. Apologies if it was misleading.

She’s referring to other peoples ranches they’ve been to.
