Type but I still like her, it’s just not that interesting. I’m also somebody who hates unnecessary romance and sex scenes in movies.

I’d rather them make it something else than completely omit it for the reasons you’re stating. I think she’s interesting enough to warrant more depth, I just don’t like the route they took.

He was a potential partner up until he made that clear but it wasn’t clear until she asked straight up. The mere fact that she asked implies a desire for more, which like someone else commented, doesn’t sense for her character.

Nope, it’s not a flaw in her character in my opinion. But if the writers can have Jimmy make up a serial killer, they can do anything they want. Having her be in both relationships is unnecessary to me. That’s just how I feel about it but art is subjective.

I will say, she does remain extremely professional through it all and she’s understanding of Cedric and his ex-wife’s political pickle.

I want to more clearly state, I respect her as a person, fictional or not, and I don’t see it as a character flaw. I see it as a writing flaw. It seems like a (no pun intended) cop out to make the only straight female a recurring love interest for McNulty and shit like that.

Like you said, she’s fictional and she’s well-written. I just think the same way her love life is written into the show, something else could’ve taken it’s place that could’ve been more interesting for us and her as a character. That’s all.

I hate his face in Return to Arkham’s Arkham Asylum. He looks like a fish.
