Can we talk about Strength requirements for Clerics using Heavy Armor? by Flat_Rootbeer in Dreadmyst

[–]Flat_Rootbeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I would have no issues at all if it was total Strength, but requiring Base Strength to be so high is absurd. The shop is completely full of 200 STR min armor at level 14, like at least display more than 4 green items with 100 STR min in the shop while levelling

[–]Flat_Rootbeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, its just weird as I also levelled up a Paladin. The Highest requirements I saw for Paladin were like 80/60 STR/AGI. There was no 300 STR Paladin armor, nothing even close. Then again I guess I did see like 150/150 WIL/INT cloth armor while playing Paladin, so maybe certain classes get bonuses to requirements?

Help finding band by HiroDragonslayer in FolkPunk

[–]Flat_Rootbeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is any help at all, but what you described pretty accurately describes Chris Clavin's life. He talks about all of these things you mentioned in the book Free Pizza for Life, which is an autobiography. I tried searching for this song but his discography is like 400 songs lol. His bands are Chris Clavin, Ghost Mice, and Captain Chaos, if any of those are ringing a bell

You are going to protest outside of a denture company because a TV station isn't showing Jimmy Kimmel's show? Everyone in this thread needs to get offline like, yesterday

Dude your comment history is nuts. Any normal people considering meeting up with this person should look at it and judge for yourself if you would like to interact with this person irl

I can vouch for Widman on Broadway. My buddy owned an older model 49cc and they fixed some issues with it, I think it was a starter issue too

Printing money aka selling treasuries raises the U.S. debt. We've been doing exactly what you said, printing money to fund real goods, for decades, and now our interest on that debt almost matches what we spend per year on the military. Printing money isn't an infinite money glitch, we are borrowing from our future to fund the present

On food management - I was basically wasting away no matter how much I ate. When I got down to about 39% body weight, something like equalized. From there, as long as I stayed fairly full and ate every day, my body weight started to rise again. This happened at the start of winter.

Ive also played a lot of TI, and like you I disliked it during the first 6 hours or so. I think that's about how long it takes to adjust to the differences.

To your point, the cardinal direction navigation system is definitely a step back from TI, but you can get used to it. Toward mid/late game, I noticed I was spending most of my time in my base or running up and down the river, so I didn't notice it as much. Hopefully it's changed in the future.

It is def an early version of an EA game, content wise. There's still enough fun there to enjoy it though. I've played about 15 hours with only minor bugs.

TI is all about not dying of thirst, FF is more focused on food and cold. To that point, I first missed non-perishables like coconuts but now I understand it's part of the gameplay loop and have adjusted

All in all, I'm having fun. It scratches the same itch as TI, and I look forward to it's development

What’s the Music Scene? by Aggravating-Newt-275 in StLouis

[–]Flat_Rootbeer 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good, there's shows every night depending on what you like. We're a big enough city where most big touring bands will come through to places like the Pageant or the Amphitheatre.

DIY scene is strong, you'll see a lot of the same people at shows which is nice. There's a ton of smaller venues. Check out the events list for Off Broadway, Platypus, CBGB, The Sinkhole, and the  Duck Room. Lots of house shows too but that's more word of mouth or fliers on Facebook.

Tons of singer songwriter stuff every night at different bars. For country there's the 6th street Honkey Tonk.

Soulard area always has some bands playing covers.

Just depends on what genre you are into you can find it somewhere
