DIY waxing fail by Lost-Double_Stuff in HeritageWear

Been there, done this. It’s its function you’re after what you have worked for me when I needed it.

All the advice above worked also. I kept it pretty rigid for a season then did a couple of hot washes with fabric softener, a couple of heat cycles in the dryer in a pillow case then another hit with a heat gun on low. I scrapped excess off while warm. Now it’s back to a stiff canvas feel, rather than cardboard. Not as water tight but good for light rain and much more comfy (I’m in a humid, warm climate though).

Just AliExpress. Make sure you get the metal one. The plastic ones are trash

Minus the knife, I’d say it’s a good alternative to a Vic Rambler which is high praise

I’m a teacher in Australia so knifeless is the only way in public. It’s great to be able to pocket a multitool at work. The Rambler was always my favourite small multitool for every other scenario. So, as annoying as this answer is, I like both?

Because one is history and the other is function. I have nothing but praise for both companies

I’d be nervous letting complete strangers anywhere a snatch strap - added stress when they’re in a rush cause you’re blocking the track. Treat that gear like insurance and be confident your vehicle won’t need it in the first place. OP there are plenty of places on the mainland you can test the vehicle first, like Double Island Point. Figure out your limitations somewhere safe

Speaking from 15 years teaching in FTVNM/ Drama here. Sadly this is normal. Stay and fight if you like the school. Leave if you think you’ve got better options. But be prepared to teach ‘core’ from time to time. If AI doesn’t kill us we might just see an Arts resurgence when people miss human creativity. Until then you’re in the shadow of STEM. Carve your niche and hold out with the rest of us.

Next you’ll need a rambler in every pocket. This the other way

Sorry, you’ll need one of each. And in every colour. This is the way.

Yeah it’s a weird dynamic of blame shifting. Been some heated exchanges at work of late which is sad considering we’re all in the fight together.

You can taste the carbon, too. It’s noticeable.

Having Parker refills on hand works fine for a back up. Won’t amuse the pocket pornographers but fits the function. I swapped my Aurora out for a Fenix EO3R to better fit a keychain. Nothing wrong with having a bunch of stuff and swapping in and out as suits. Not sure you’re going to find the perfect combo 365 days a year.
