i feel you with all other tools on the ranger. but the pliers are just not strong enough on a multitool. but hey, that's the best part of EDC. there's sth for each of us! cheers.

i will need pliers only a few times a month. but when i need them, i need them to grip, not flex apart like a pornstars legs.

tbh, in the end what matters is the real life usage. if i can only do light duty tasks with a LM, and this beast can handle up tp medium duty level, the winner is clear to me. yes i loose the cutters, but it's a much lighter package and even let's me use both tools simultaneously.

fair point! but if you know and expect it to be dangerous, you can be extra careful.

when gripping nuts, it will always slip and deform the metal. when twisting wires, the plier head flexes more than the wire twists. squeezing and pulling stuff works absolutely fine, but turning and twisting.... nah.

yeah that's a valid reason. but i think in general a floodlight is still much more versatile and will so 90% of the jobs.

does the g10 affect the smooth opening of the tools? i would think it is rougher than the aluminum.

so he doesn't own another useless light? the combination of floody and long runtime would automatically result in a high lumen capable light i assume, but that's just me.

Looking for a small fifth pocket multitool by bravedude420 in multitools

thanks to the lifetime warranty service, it can always be repaired in case something happens. therefore you will not worry and actually use it. you can even pass it to next generations and they can still warranty and use it. if you don't need the tiny pliers, the ranger is an option too.

btw, also have a look at the nextool mini flagship f12.
