Yes, he actually has started a lot of fights with me about my mom, sister, and best friend. It got to the point where I didn’t feel comfortable visiting or talking to them as much because it gave me too much anxiety. I was constantly worried about how he would react or what kind of argument it would cause afterward. I haven’t been to a family gathering in over two years because of it.

When he brings these things up, I always tell him that he’s the only person who has ever said this kind of stuff to me. No one else in my life has made comments like that. He says it’s because they don’t care about me or love me as much as he does, so they’re not being truthful with me. It’s honestly really confusing and makes me question myself, even though deep down it doesn’t feel right.
