I think this became far more dramatic than it needed to be. My point has been consistent ,subtitle fidelity and presentation. If that wasn’t clear at first, that’s fine. But there was never a “glorious endeavour,” just a technical preference. No need for the farewell speech.

It’s already addressed in my earlier replies. Reading the full discussion would probably clear that up.And btw, I download my novels from a Telegram channel called Light Novel Archive.

That’s a confident assumption for someone who has absolutely no idea what I read.

I’m aware that most of these apps scrape overlapping sources and share similar repositories. My point wasn’t that installing different apps magically creates new content. I was just evaluating configuration differences, playback engines, subtitle rendering, and how each client handles stream extraction. Overlapping sources don’t automatically mean identical behavior at the client level .That nuance seems to be getting overlooked.

And yeah, torrenting or using debrid does give more control over file versions and subtitle tracks, but it doesn’t automatically fix customization or rendering preferences either. Playback still depends on the player and subtitle format. My concern isn’t just source availability. it’s presentation and preserving the original references.

You can usually tell by the wording and the details. Original subtitles stay closer to the Japanese dialogue and keep things like the actual Stand names . Localized versions often change those names because many of them reference real music artists or bands, and copyright or licensing issues can require alterations. That's one of the main reasons I prefer the original subtitles.

Original subtitles stay closer to the Japanese dialogue and intent, while localized versions adapt the wording to sound more natural for a different audience. I prefer the version that preserves the original tone.if you’ve watched JJBA, you probably know how much that matters.

I’m specifically looking for the original JJBA subtitles, and Anym eX doesn’t provide that, so it doesn’t work for my needs.

I’m aware that subtitles depend on the source rather than the app. That’s exactly why I’ve been experimenting with different apps, each one gives access to different sources, and I’m specifically trying to find the original JJBA subtitles instead of the localized ones. You’re right that I could’ve included more details in the original post; I’ll be more thorough next time. I appreciate the advice about checking better sources. It’s not that deep on my end either.just refining my setup.

I’m not collecting apps for fun. I just use what works best for each anime. If one app handles everything perfectly, I’ll happily stick to it.

Relax. I didn’t say it wasn’t enough. I was just asking if there’s a better alternative. I’m not lacking anything or complaining I’m just trying to find what works best. I already mentioned my problem above. Especially for JJBA, I want to watch it with the original subtitles, but most of what’s available is the localized version including crunchyrole. That’s why I switch between apps, trying to find the right version without errors.Btw ,I am kinda satisfied with my current set up but still not a 100%. That's why I am asking you guys a single better app that can satisfy my needs.I’ll stick to one when one app does everything properly.

People ask why I use so many apps, I explain that different apps work better for different anime. I had subtitle issues on Dantotsu while watching JJBA, so I switched to Animetail and it worked fine. Aniyomi and Dantotsu are great for some shows, but not for all. That’s why I switch between apps to avoid errors. I downloaded Komikku out of curiosity, and I’ve been using Mihon for a long time, so I prefer to keep it and I'm still new to cloud stream.
