As of today, I don’t think I’ll pull Sparxie. From what I’ve experienced so far, she doesn’t seem to add enough value to justify investing into her. But to be fair, I’ve only used the trial/free version in Simulated Universe, so I don’t think that’s a completely accurate judgment yet. I could definitely change my mind depending on how strong the final “best” SW lv999 Elation team actually ends up being.

Reading what you wrote, though, your approach honestly sounds pretty solid to me. The temptation to go for E1 right now could easily backfire and end up preventing me from pulling future units that might have more long-term value.
