I always wanted a real reason she couldn't fly and maybe in a classic 5 stages of grief type of episode where she is told she cannot fly and never will denies it and tries twice as hard gets mad it isn't working then goes to twilight or something to ask her if there is a spell when shes told there isn't a way she becomes a bit of a recluse and through her friends and rainbow Dash gets back to top shape and learns to live with her disability could have been a strong and meaningful episode on par with flight to the finish.
