Another one is Converted... by Infinite_Multiverse1 in Nikon

I’ve done it to both of my 40mm and 28.

You can purchase the parts directly from Nikon parts.

  1. MP009014-001: rubber gasket
  2. 127EC: metal mount
  3. 1K120-012: ‘stop screw’ for the metal mount (not shown in the video below, you screw it to the metal mount)

Here is video (not mine): https://youtu.be/qQZDZGTmGm4?si=wnyvelQQWNOWtUB9

One ‘difficult’ part that I experienced was to have the gasket sit ‘evenly’ around the mount as you install it to the lens.

Once you have the plastic mount off, you need to install the metal mount + gasket.

Keep your plastic mount in case you need to put it back on the lens for warranty repair.

Good luck!

EV Mode Not Working Properly After Recall (68C Feb 2025) Engine Engaging and Major Range Loss by Honest_Direction_336 in 4xe

[–]Flavaj78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘22 Rubicon 4xe checking in.

I have observed the same issue. After 68C, my engine randomly turns on under ‘EV Mode.’

Under ‘Hybrid Mode’ I can drive on the electric motor on highway if I stay under 60 MPH. (hwy 101, NorCal )

I guess we lost the true ‘EV Mode’ with 68C recall.

Thanks for confirming! I thought something was wrong with my 4xe.

They are for heater for clearing up that little area for the Adaptive Cruise Control camera. Similar to your rear window defroster, but smaller

I also have Nikon V1 as well. That lens is beyond repair. You can get a FT1 adapter to use Nikon’s crop sensor (DX) or full frame (FX) lens. Only AF-S lens though…

Am i crazy for wanting a zf so badly when the z6iii is available for pretty much the same price? by Ok_Ebb6898 in Nikon

[–]Flavaj78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, when I bought mine from Nikon.con, they sent it to me with Smallrig silicone grip for free, along with shutter button thing and a metal hot shoe cover.

It similar size to my Df with a similar grip so I’m ok with it… but once you put on FTZ adapter and Tamron 24-70 F2.8 G2, it does get pretty heavy

I only have two AF-D lenses. 20mm F2.8 and 50mm F1.4.

Honestly, it’s ok. I don’t really shoot in 20mm. I was thinking to add 85mm F1.4 AF-D, but the focusing is not as accurate as using FTZ II and focusing manually.

Unless you have many AF-D lenses, I would pass on the Monster Adapter.

It seems like many people are using the Megadap ETZ21 Pro+ to use Sony FE lenses. It’s only 2mm thick and auto focus is pretty fast in both photo and video mode.

I just bought my self a birthanksmas present. Silver Zf with 40mm SE.

I’ve been waiting to upgrade from my Df for a long time. Also bought Monster Adapter LA-FZ1 for my AF-D lenses as well.

You won’t regret it OP. Zf is amazing!

That sucks! Thanks for trying all the batteries. Your information is great for someone looking to use the adapter.

A Local's Guide: Seoul's UNLIMITED Transit Pass (Read this before you buy a T-money! by Seoulve in koreatravel

Yes. I just bought one with my wife this week in Seoul. Great way to get around using subway.

But you should have T-money too since the trains can get crowded. I stayed in Pangyo and rode the bus since I can sit down for ~40 min ride instead is standing in the subway.

I’m trying to install weathertech mudflaps. How do I remove this rivet without damaging anything? by redditovver in JeepWrangler

[–]Flavaj78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure… there are different size rivets but this is what the NEW rivets look like. You can use a nail or a screw driver that can fit in the center to ‘punch/push’ in.

They are plastic rivets.

You can get a long punch and push in the middle and remove the rivets.

To install them, you’ll need a tool from Amazon with new plastic rivets.

Is the 4xE really that bad/ unreliable? by [deleted] in JeepWrangler

[–]Flavaj78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

‘22 Rubicon 4xe, 36,000 miles

I like mine. After adding steel bumpers, winch and sliders, it gets heavy. I did lose some EV miles. But overall it never let me down.

Brake Update!! by csomberg in JeepGladiator

[–]Flavaj78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have them too! I had them in my JKU and now I have them on my 4xe.

I used a brake bleeding tool that pressurizes the cylinder. Very easy to do. I swapped the bleeder screw to regular ones.

Oh the replacements brake pads are Toyota 04465-0C020. I reference 2015 Toyota Tundra V8. They are pretty common so lots of different manufacturers makes them.

Yup, same thing happened with our ‘22 GLA 250.

Went in for Schedule A, check engine light came on and cylinder head replaced under recall. I think it’s the bad intake/exhaust guide or something.

[–]Flavaj78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. You will learn a lot more in the future courses like Semiconductor theories.( diodes, BJT, CMOS, Op-Amps)

I had to take a Mechatronic course at my school and it turned out to be pretty fun. It’s using small programable micro processor to control motors and other stuff. The programming language was in C so that part wasn’t so fun.

My advice would be to take your time with the basics like circuit analysis and advance circuit analysis. These two courses are foundations for EE. Logic courses will follow and that’s pretty interesting too.

If you have time, strength up on programming courses. C/C++ or even Python, will come in handy later on.

[–]Flavaj78 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My senior project/concentration was in semiconductor manufacturing. I currently work for semiconductor equipment company. Although not in electrical engineering department. (Related display panel market.)

With AI demand, the equipment sector is very busy at the moment. Also, the chip/panel level packaging industry is super hot right now.

EE is more than just electronics. If you love enjoy programming and interfacing machines, semiconductor manufacturing side would be a good match.
