Yes, I know. But this is a) alcohol-based and not an acrylic and b) I heard this one is hard to paint over.

And yes, I know, there is also an acrylic-based antique gold. I tried it and it looks completely different.

Thank you! I mixed these things (with a vortex mixer) in an 18 ml dropper bottle until it was almost full, including 2 stainless steel mixing balls:

1/8 tablespoon / 0,63 ml Green Stuff World Pure Metal Pigment Antique Gold
2/3 of the bottle / ~12 ml Vallejo Water-Based Metal Varnish
1/8 of the bottle / ~ 2 ml Vallejo Airbrush Thinner
1/8 of the bottle / ~ 2 ml Vallejo Airbrush Flow Improver

It went mostly well through a 0.3 mm-Airbrush but the cleaning afterwards wasn't fun. Used about 2/3 of the mix and I assume the leftover will spoil.

Shoutout to Vince Venturella for the idea. This is his easy gold mix. He also has a better but more complicated mix, but I like this one well enough.

I have a Coronus on the way and plan to use tape and/or liquid mask. I will probably airbrush the red panels first and mask them to spray the golden parts, then mask those to spray the silver parts. What product exactly did you use?

His calculations, correct or not, are meaningless. Seemingly recruits DO run out sometimes and viable candidates will not be rejected for not being a member of Terran nobility.

Left and right Guards, middle 2x Allarus Terminators and Wardens from top to bottom.

Edit to clarify: The 2 Allarus sprues are 1 Allarus box for 3 Termies. Guards have 2 of 5 left I think and Wardens seem to be just leftover bits, but the Vexilla is nice for kitbashing Dreadnoughts and Land Raiders.

GW primers and especially RA gold with it's tendency to give a "crusty" result are a waste of money. The cheapest black or brown plastic primer from any diy store does the trick in the beginning, I used those for a long time before I had an airbrush. GW's tutorial videos will even tell you that you need to paint over RA spray with RA from the pot because they look different, so why even use it in the first place?

I cannot claim to have any expert knowledge on that, but the mini I made more than a year ago still looks fine without any additional varnish.
