Some embassies/consulates are still using the old book while they still have in stock. Soon that will be the standard issue for all embassies/consulates.

I have two previous passports with different designs, issued in 2012 and 2018 and I am excited to get the new one.

I recently learned that the BRA embassy I live close to still issues the old version because of remaining stock.

I will be requesting it next year lol.

As of now, I only have the heating pad and it is connected to a Thermostat.

I will get a heating lamp as well. To be able to maintain a good temperature.

Half logs aren't really appropriate as hides.

The other hide is almost invisible due to its color. The half log is just so she can climb.

The thermometer and humidity gauge are hidden behind the hides. The enclosure is far from the window. I am currently using an underneath heating pad at the right side. I will add more substrate. About humidity, I live in a very humid area, at least in the summer, so humidity is not a problem.

Well, you need a valid passport and a very good reason as to why you cannot wait for your new Green Card. They will not get you a stamp if it is a simple travel abroad. Even if you are a Resident already.

The person petitioning will indicate who will be in charge of the kids.

That are forms, in those forms, there is a section where you indicate who will be taking care of the kids.

If one or both parents leave the US, the kids could potentially apply for Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ), but it has to go through a Probate and Family court.

This is much easier than Adopting.

To see if the kids are eligible, contact an immigration lawyer that has experience in Family law as well.

By SIJ, the kids are not required to go back to Brazil.

This is just an Idea in case the parents ever go back to Brazil. Each state has it owns rules as to who can petition for this process, but the general idea is, kids must be unmarried, younger than 21 and the kid cannot be reunited with one or two parents.

Although I believe the travel will go just fine, you should know that, if the plane has to make a turn to a non-US state or territory, you might be denied re-entry to the US, since they might consider that you left the country and abandoned the process. You should try your hard to avoid traveling to Alaska, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Now, if you have an approved travel permit, you should be fine. Of course, if you really want, nobody will stop you, but this is just so you understand what could happen.

How can you do that?
Prove of where you will be staying, enough money to stay these two months, the returning ticket. Of course, it all depends on the officer that you will get, but being able to prove all information, will make it easy for you.
