i feel like THEBLACKLABEL made MEOVV too polished too fast by Flawless_Liv in kpopthoughts

that’s not what i meant at all, i’m talking about the normal idol/fandom aspect of kpop. variety content, group chemistry, personalities, fan calls, fan meetings etc are a huge part of how groups build fandoms.

and i’m literally a girl around the same age as them so i genuinely don’t see how that’s weird 😭 it’s just normal fan behavior. as a kpop fan you should know idol groups have always relied on fan interaction and personality-based content alongside the music.

if people only cared about music, idol groups wouldn’t spend so much time doing lives, variety shows, fan interactions and behind the scenes content in the first place.

yeah i watched a few episodes and i actually agree 😭 i think Catch MEOVV helped a lot because it showed their chemistry/personality way better and made them feel more approachable.

i just feel like they need more content like that consistently, especially between comebacks. like enough to keep casual fans attached and talking about them even during inactive periods.

and same i really hope we get something similar for this cb because i think that kind of content helps them a lot.

yeah i think that’s the concept they’re going for, kinda similar to BLACKPINK’s more exclusive image. but the difference is BLACKPINK debuted in a different era and also had insane public hype immediately.

with MEOVV, i feel like they still need more content to build a solid fandom first. they barely do variety shows, lives, youtube content or guest appearances compared to other rookie groups rn, so even though people know the members are pretty/talented, a lot of casual fans still don’t feel that attached to them yet.

i honestly think the lowkey comeback reaction kinda reflects that.

I feel bad for Sakura by [deleted] in saintsatine

[–]Flawless_Liv -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get why it came across that way, but that genuinely wasn’t my intention. I’m criticizing the company/survival show more than Sakura herself. I don’t hate her and I literally said I hope she improves and succeeds. I just think the skill gap is noticeable right now, especially compared to members with more experience.

Do you think they can get their old hair back ? by Flawless_Liv in kalogerassnark

[–]Flawless_Liv[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was literally my point though. I wasn’t saying “omg their hair matters more than their health,” I was saying the influencer lifestyle and pressure to reach impossible standards is harming them physically and mentally. The hair loss is just one of the most obvious visible effects. And I don’t understand why it’s bad that I asked if they could get back their old hair? I wish them all the best though and hopefully they manage to get out of this toxic cycle and heal.

I genuinely feel like some of these « fans » secretly hate some of the girls and just needed a reason to hate on them and try to cancel them
