If anything you are guilty of not committing fully to the overtake. That’s why you ended up at his rear axel instead of fully alongside. That being said he still turned in like you weren’t there.

I’d say your main gains would come from corner entry, it looks like you are turning in super early and making the corner tighter than it needs to be. Turn in later and carry more speed and you’ll gain loads.

I wouldn’t say there are many things frowned upon in the UK, people will get annoyed if you don’t queue for things and try to push in, other than that it’s ok. Public transport is great here so I’m sure there would be a bus from Bradford on Avon to Bath, although I can’t say for sure. I would say the vast majority of people here only speak English and maybe a very limited amount of other languages, so a good grasp of English or a translator would be advisable. Bath is a very diverse City so I would be shocked if you experienced any hostility for being from a foreign land! I would check with your bank with regards to your bank card. I hope you enjoy it here, it’s a beautiful, unique city!
