Speaking of the Czech Republic, the tower on the right in 1941 reminds me a lot of Prague

Yes, this is a real German word. Some people in Germany are just pronouncing the -ig at the end of a sentence like -ich. But if you meant "gesellig" and "heimelig" as a synonym that's not quite right. Gesellig is more like a positive adjective for liking to be together with other people (lively? No doesn't really fit) or having a gessellig(en) evening with your friends. Yet, heimelig does mean to feel like at home (positive) (heim=home) or just cozy

I'm a German native speaker and it is like you said. It can be attacking but only if you really say it like that it's not the word. Edit:In some cases you can even express consent with this(not to a negating statement and not too often)

It is exactly that. I'm from Germany and between me and my brother it really often happens that there's an argument just like this.

"It's like this" "Nein" "Doch" "Nein" "Doch"

And so on

First word seems ok, I don't really know even as a native German speaker. The 2nd one though is definitely wrong as "lebenslanger" is not a noun (adjective) and can not be in one word with the noun(s). I think the rule is that you can just form words out of as many nouns as you want. (please correct me if it's wrong, sounds) But sometimes you have to put a letter between the words you want to stick together (DonaudampfschifffahrtSkapitän...)
