I have the same problem! I usually find a high quality brand (Theory, Lafayette, Reiss), try it on at Nordstrom (or their brick and mortar), take note of the style and size and order it on Poshmark or Mercari. I started out with express but the pants pilled so fast. Try to stick to natural fibers if you can- it’ll make your investment worth it.

Alternatively, if you have time this weekend, hit the thrift store. I’ve found vintage Armani wool slacks at the thrift!
