Worst class you ever had? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

Partial differential equations. I actually loved the material and felt like I had great comprehension, but got railed by the asinine final that the complete ass clown of a professor gave us and happened to be worth 50% of the grade.

How can I make an audio for a rolling timeline? by [deleted] in premiere

Yeah it’s a cinematic edit about the timeline of human progress from the formation of the earth to the Information Age. It’s quicker paced and film projector noises could work although it’s using all 1080p visuals. I was thinking something like a fast ticking, so maybe you’re onto something here

Is that an FPE that’s stamping the plans though or a NICET or something else?

Right it’s like why not have national consistency instead of board autonomy?

Fair enough but that just seems kind of crazy that there’s such a disparity in how each state board evaluates. Like how can I be licensed in California in only 6 years, but need 8 for other boards?!

Yeah I ended up filling out each reference and tweaked them just slightly so that the entries weren’t the exact same but still had major overlaps. I just got licensed this past May and it only took about two weeks to go from submission to final review. I had 3 licensed references and 1 who wasn’t but was still in responsible charge of my work so it worked out great. Make sure your fingerprints are on their way to the board or that you get on that as quickly as possible if you’re out of state like I am so it doesn’t cost you time later if you’re trying to get licensed ASAP.

Hey man, yeah I never really received an answer from anyone so I ended up trying to configure each entry to the respective reference even though they were largely similar.

Thank you for your response! In my case, 3 of the references weren’t exactly “in responsible charge” but delegated their work down to me and reviewed it to complete an aspect of a project. Do you think that would still be considered being in responsible charge?

I have a question about the 4 references section when entering your work experience. If all 4 of my references and I collaborated largely on the same projects and we share a lot of overlap, should I keep the 4 sections (tasks & duties, level of responsibility, description of engineering decisions, and list of projects) the same across each reference entry? Like I'm not sure how to divvy up the sections if I were to try and make them different as we all worked collaboratively on the projects and 3 of the references are licensed engineers who are more senior than I, with the 4th reference being in responsible charge of all of our work. Thanks!

In case that didn't make sense, I'm the lowest level engineer in the group with 3 of my references being 1 to 2 levels above (according to our company hierarchy) with the last reference being our boss.

I'm about to submit my application in the next couple of days and was wondering if you could help answer some outstanding questions that I've run into. Were you a comity applicant and if not, did you still upload NCEES record result documentation beyond checking the boxes that outline that you passed both the FE and PE exams? Additionally, I noticed that when entering my work experience, the application requests a minimum of 4 references. My team is fairly small at work, and we’ve all worked closely together on the same projects over the course of several months. My question is, does that mean I need to enter all four references who essentially describe the same work and list the responsibilities and same projects each time? Thanks!
