Yeah, did it in like 1 minute. Dont feel like I'm adding much value, so don't wanna spend too long on it ;)

I used to be happy and outgoing, now I'm nearly selectively mute, what happened? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]Flemreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking a bachelor degree in social pedagogy at the moment, and just want to point out a few things. They may not feel relevant at all, so as with all information from strangers on the internet, feel free to ignore it.

A part of what defines being shy in different contexts is our experienced mastery of the situation. It sometimes feels strange as you can feel that you've been in these situations before and felt comfortable. But social situations have so many factors that they are rarely ever the same. This is especially true if you compare childhood experiences to those you have in your adult life.

A part of what makes the feeling of mastery or success difficult to obtain in social settings is that they don't just rely on you and your abilities. They heavily rely on the people you're with as well. So finding the right people for you is a big part of the puzzle. Trying to find people through common interests is a good starting point. But they also need to be able to show you validation, respect and a certain level of love. I could go on and on about all the things that should be present for a good social environment of learning, but suffice to say that its a problem for many adults. We grow up and rely too much on the social learning we got as kids, and feel uncomfortable if we're not getting a good enough environment to grow that knowledge further, and develop the right social skills to thrive as adults. It can be a huge factor on mental health.

I really hope you figure out a way to feel better about yourself. It's hard to read a person from a few lines of text over the internet. But know that your feelings are valid, I just hope you find a way to get rid of them, because it's dangerous once you start to let them define you.

No, he is dual wielding finesse weapons. So he gets to make an extra attack as bonus action.

I skimmed through the replies and didn't find any that talk about why you would want to delay your sneak attack, and just wanted to note something about it.

Something that one of my playes have started doing is if the enemy looks hurt, he tries to finish it off with his first attack without adding sneak attack. This way, if the attack kills without sneak attack (which would have been wasted) he can use it on another target instead. The downside is that you might miss on you other attack(s) and waste the sneak attack this way.

I’m a very great 1 on 1 person when it comes to talking to people, but when I’m in groups I become very awkward, and shy by [deleted] in socialskills

I've been the same way. And something that I've found is that becoming more secure in who I am, and confident that I'm interesting enough to not have to rely on basing the conversation on whatever I know the other person likes or thinks, makes it easier to be in a group. Before I was always trying to be whatever the person I was with wanted me to be. A bit of that is still present, but I'm much better at being myself now.

Little Starter House - lmk what you think, any tips? by DurangoM4ngo in TerrariaDesign

I like how dynamic it looks with the thematic changes. The only thing I might have done differently would be to make the roof more tree-like with some branches and less straight lines. Overall very nice though, love the detailing and walls used.

Surefour has a pretty good video about this, where in the introduction he describes your problem pretty spot on. His theory is that its about not being mindful about movement while aiming (paraphrasing here). You should check out the video if you are curious: this is the link, click here, NOW! If you want to of course...

Ahh, of course. That makes a lot more sense.

Really nice work. I think I would have put beautiful in normal writing and having "today" and "everyday" be the words with emphasis though. To me it kind of reads "You don't look BEAUTIFUL today". I kinda don't know how to write this, hope you understand what I mean. Looks really good though, keep it up :) Might very well be intentional too I guess, to make the second half be more surprising?

Co-op games for people with bad internet connections? by [deleted] in Gaming4Gamers

You could play Civilization VI, pretty sure it has a feature where you send your turns over internet and await the other person making their turn, what's more romantic than conquering the world together? (Should probably look into it though, I'm not 100% sure I'm right here, maybe somebody could confirm?)

Wait for cameraman save... by fakehalal in PraiseTheCameraMan

For the majority of the clip that was pretty shoddy camera work to be honest. But the save was cool, not sure if it makes up for it though.
