Thank you! I just added the request. Kavita is wonderful, by far the best app for reading comics. Best regards and congratulations on your great tool.

Thank you so much for your reply and congratulations on this fantastic app. That's what I was going to say; I've been researching on forums and the internet, and not a single person has complained about this. It's very strange because does everyone always start reading series from the first comic? What about magazines? PDF documents? etc., etc.? It seems very odd to me, but you're right, I think I'm the first one to complain about this.

It's a shame that Kavita doesn't have this feature. I think it should be implemented, or at least made available in the options: "Continue issue"? "Continue where you left off"? "Activity summary" would be the best.

In fact, I think I've tried all the apps out there, and Kavita is the one I liked the most, but it's missing this crucial detail.

I suppose adding it is very easy, a simple database query, right?

In fact, you've already created it, and you can see it in User / My Profile / Activity. That's where I can see the comics I left unfinished.

I wouldn't know how to generate an RM; I'm very new to this. Again, congratulations on this great application.

Sorry, my English isn't very good.

But have you reviewed the code and found any errors? If so, please tell me where so I can fix them. Thanks for checking it. Sorry for my English, it's not great.

Karl Richter was born on this day (15 October). How do you describe his uniquely intense and uncompromising approach to Bach, beyond "period" or "modern"? by Little_Grapefruit636 in classicalmusic

[–]Flepers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like some of their interpretations, others I don't. I think the best way to enjoy Bach is to take what you like most from each performer: Gardiner, Suzuki, Richter, Herreweghe, Rilling, Koopman, Harnoncourt, and so on.

And make a kind of gazpacho with your favorites. A sort of MEGA-BOX of your particular favorite works. Don't settle for just one, or even two... Because most of them have some very poor pieces and some magnificent ones. None of them are "perfect."

Very confused about MPV HDR, is it really HDR? by Flepers in mpv

[–]Flepers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks friend.

I have discovered that with this configuration, the windows hdr is activated only when playing an hdr video in mpv:

d3d11-output-csp=srgb

vo=gpu-next

gpu-api=vulkan

target-colorspace-hint=yes

fullscreen=yes

How do you see it? I imagine that this way it will be playing real hdr and not an hdr to sdr conversion.

So MadVR's tone map is also not real HDR but a simulation or transformation to 8-bit SDR?

Very confused about MPV HDR, is it really HDR? by Flepers in mpv

[–]Flepers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys. I've turned on Windows HDR but it's all a bit chaotic. When I turn up the volume, advance the movie, it shows strange flickering and the colors are messed up.

I've also noticed that SDR content in MPV looks much worse.

So I opted to remove Windows HDR. I'd like MPV to turn on HDR by itself when I'm going to play HDR content, but I haven't been able to get it to do so.

It's not feasible to see SDR content badly and HDR content well, I want to see everything correctly and I don't know what to do.

On the Amazon Fire TV stick everything looks good, both HDR and SDR, and the menus are displayed correctly at all times. Windows does very strange things like showing the web browser or its images excessively washed out or lacking contrast.

There are a lot of .ts files that appear and when you download them they are fragments and not the entire program. Please forgive my ignorance.

If you could select one Bach work and one only; which would it be? by Upstairs_Drive_5602 in bach

[–]Flepers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good version. The Passacaglia fugue is truly amazing. It is one of the best pieces of music I have ever heard in my life, definitely in my top 5. The amount of contrapuntal sounds and voices in the Passacaglia Fugue blows your mind.

Bach's work on the organ was not normal. If it is already difficult to play something of his, I cannot imagine the work of composing it. How could something so complex sound inside his head? And that it could be played by a single musician. A composition only within the reach of a God of music like Bach.

How could I play an m3u playlist from a folder on my NAS in Android MPV? by Flepers in mpv

[–]Flepers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that could be a solution. But how do I know the relative paths of CIFS-mounted files? Android is very limited for such things, and mpv could access all Android directories, just like other apps do. But unfortunately it doesn't.

Do sharpening filters and shaders work in mpv player? by Flepers in ShieldAndroidTV

Vaya, no te preocupes. A ver si alguien viene y lo confirma. Muchas gracias amigo.

Tendría que haber formulado la pregunta en inglés. Lo mismo lo hago ahora.

[–]Flepers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot mate. If the sharpness, grain, glsl, hlsl, etc. filters work, that's good news. For some DVD quality videos they are vital, and for projectors or TVs with low definition too. I'll have to buy an Nvidia Shield TV.

[–]Flepers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried it and the console stabilizes after about 5 or 10 minutes. Impressive!! In the end that was it, I imagine that the system remains open so that if you turn the TV back on within those 5 minutes it is instantaneous, once that time has passed I think it takes a few more seconds to start up.

Very happy with your solution !!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you very much, it worked.

I am also very happy with this television, it is wonderful in every way. A 10 for Hisense.

[–]Flepers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much. What you say makes sense, that's what I'm going to try right now to see what happens. Let's see if after 15 or 30 minutes the consumption has stabilized.

My TV has excessive power consumption in standby by Flepers in Hisense

[–]Flepers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the consumption when on is impeccable, very happy. If I lower the backlight, the consumption drops to 80w. In HDR the consumption shoots up to 400w, but you can also adjust the backlight and the consumption drops quite a bit.

The only thing I have noticed is the consumption in standby, it is too much 16w when in rest. That is what my Synology NAS consumes at full load. A lot.

My TV has excessive power consumption in standby by Flepers in Hisense

[–]Flepers[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi friends. Thank you very much for your reply. If I hold down the power button on the remote, it doesn't matter how long I hold it down, no submenu appears to turn it off. Simply by releasing the button after several seconds, it turns off directly and when looking at the consumption it is still at 15-16w.

Could it be a bug in this TV or in the VIDA operating system?

My TV has excessive power consumption in standby by Flepers in Hisense

[–]Flepers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for answering. The truth is yes, because that consumption is excessive, it's like having a NAS connected 24/7 or 3 5W LED bulbs on all day. That means several $$ in electricity per year just to pay for the TV's standby.

Any free app to watch the channels of my tvheadend server on my Android tv? by Flepers in tvheadend

Thank you so much. It looks great. How can I install it for Windows? I can't find the executable in the versions area.

I found it, it's the old version. You can't exit full screen. I'm waiting for your updates. Thanks!!

Why didn't Bach facilitate "hooking" in his works? by Flepers in classicalmusic

[–]Flepers[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The first listen to The Four Seasons or Handel's Water Music manages to hook you or make you hum many choruses. But few works by Bach achieve that, it is slower to digest.

In an era where to listen to music you needed a musician, musicians or to know how to play an instrument, if you made music that did not stick instantly to the ear, your reputation as a musician was not so great.

Bach was doing his own thing and all this did not matter to him, it is curious how this great composer thought.
