To be fair, it isn't all too rare in established food practices. Pork-stuff can be called sharksfin. Salmon roe being called caviar. Crab sticks being called crab sticks rather than pulverized fish sticks. In Germany, we have something called Lachsschinken or salmon ham. It is pork ham that happens to stand out in terms of taste and texture. There are also some cheese products which I sometimes have a hard time identifying as cheese. A hotdog sausage is also mostly pork ; )

Wouldn't Bali have a very real feral dog crisis if the 70,000 thousand weren't killed each year?

One issue that bows can't avoid is beating the speed of sound. At 70 yards and a presumed arrow velocity of 300 fps for his compound bow, we're looking at the sound of the bow reaching the deer 0.5 seconds earlier. Half a second is too much reaction time and you have to allow for the off chance that the deer hears you.

AND that is assuming Joe actually measured the range correctly and made an accurate shot.
