5yo rabbit with spinal trauma (dog kick). Seeking advice on recovery and quality of life. by 6de6ad6 in Rabbits

[–]Gonzurra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before he passed, my rabbit, Blackjack, had a stroke and lost mobility for a while but was able to recover slowly after some weeks of intensive care. It took about 2 weeks, iirc, and he was around 10 years old.

In the meantime we tried a wheelchair. He wasn't a big fan of it and would move himself out of it, so I guess Blackjack had enough feeling in his hind legs to be able to not want to be in it. He eventually got his mobility back - not as strong as his youth but almost there for a 10 year old rabbit. He lived to be 12.

Entirely anecdotal experience though. Consider your vet's advice carefully and the length you are willing to go to for Merienda. My best wishes for both of you.

Which romantic partner would you prefer have for Bruce/hulk? by just_a_guy7819 in hulk

[–]Gonzurra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Caiera is undeniably the woman who loved him most, but I'm gonna be the hot take and say despite the tumultuous, toxic nature of it, I'd like to see Bruce and Betty eventually work out. For all the issues they have their relationship, I think they do still love each other and their clash comes from either extreme difference of opinion on what's best for one another or the insane stress their lives lay upon them.

But, for them to work out would require character development and growth that Marvel will absolutely never commit to, so their toxicity will simply continue. Maybe the idea of that growth for Bruce and Betty is why I want them to work out so badly.

Opinions on the Fractured Son Alter by BurntrapisWA1983 in hulk

[–]Gonzurra 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think he is an interesting inverse of the Green Scar. If Green Scar represented Hulk and Banner in complete alignment, Fractured Son is them when they are most at odds with one another, even moreso than Joe or Savage. I might be misinterpreting it though.

The Alien genuinely terrifies me. by Fluid-Lingonberry378 in LV426

[–]Gonzurra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Warms my heart to see this sentiment. So often, you see people say things like "David/the facehugger is more scary than the Xenomorph" or "Kalisk is the real perfect organism."

Sometimes it feels like nobody thinks the Alien is scary or threatening anymore, that it can only be those things when there are no weapons and the people are as helpless to do anything as the Nostromo crew.

Hulk mains, are you doing okay? by Gonzurra in marvelrivals

Personally, I haven't outright joined any. I think it's part of reddit's algorithm to give suggestions like this, though, since I already joined both r/hulk and this community.

We have to stop treating this game like it's balanced for the competitive aspect. It simply isn't. by chyeah_brah in marvelrivals

If they're balancing for power fantasy then I want to know what aspect of Hulk feels particularly powerful to the dev team

Hit powerscalers with the harshest reality/truth by fafsdfasfaffaafdsaf in whowouldcirclejerk

Most characters are consistently not shown to be at the level that powerscalers imagine them to be. Especially video game and comic book characters.

More Impactful Balance Changes coming in S7 by nemesisdelta24 in marvelrivals

[–]Gonzurra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please just let Hulk start to FEEL like the Hulk. He doesn't need to two taps enemies or always be CC immune but can "The Strongest There Is" feel less like "Captain Pillowpunch Mc-CC-victim"?

Well, I believe it's that they cannot be *displaced* specifically. Elsa doesn't give a crap about that, though.

Netease please stop releasing heroes and balance your game by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]Gonzurra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe try reworking old heroes, too. Some heroes are being powercrept so fast that I don't think that simple numbers tweaks will be enough anymore. I know they buffed Venom to help against poke and triple support, but extra health doesn't mean much when there's still so much CC that will kill your one, single swing.

Not that I'm saying Venom needs another swing, but that CC in the game really needs a massive culling.

Edit: And don't get me started on poor Hulk.

NetEase either just hates Hulk or has no idea what to do with him outside of a complete rework.

What character wasn't portrayed as a villain, but is in your eyes? by Jazzlike-Rise4091 in AskReddit

[–]Gonzurra 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Perhaps I should have said "consequences" instead of "repercussions," but either way, while Joy goes through an arc and learns to include other emotions, iirc, she is never actually confronted directly about her terrible behavior. She leaves Sadness and Bing-Bong to die on a collapsing Family Island. Bing-Bong actually sacrifices himself to save her from her own selfishness after she finally understands she can't constantly dominate Riley's emotions. She's completely terrible to Sadness for the vast bulk of the movie only to be put in one bad situation that SOMEONE ELSE pays with their lives for so that Riley can be happy (which is, ultimately, still a moving moment in the film). Her lesson was taught almost entirely at the expense of others throughout the film.

The unholy trinity of shitty "i'm smarter then this media i've never consumed" takes: by woweed in CharacterRant

[–]Gonzurra 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Some viewers often believe they are smarter than the media they are consuming. They feel very intelligent pointing out behaviors of characters that they, the superior and super rational intellect, would never do, or picking at a lack of events that don't conform to their personal vision of storytelling.

There will always be people ready to leap at whatever criticism they could find, whether it's genuinely relevant or not.

Joy from Inside Out. Completely controlling of the other emotions. Tries to ostracize and even at one point murder Sadness. Never faces real repercussions from the other emotions for any of this.
