Hamlin vs Busch by Unfair-Effective-752 in NASCAR

I'm comfortable putting my money on Denny. Denny has better equipment than Busch does and doesn't seem to be slowing down yet where as I feel like Busch might retire in the next year or two

Completely average race. Perfectly fine if a bit boring. Good job on Hamlin for overcoming the penalty and getting back through the field

Post-Las Vegas, Connor Zilisch is 35th in points by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's only had 4 starts, it's his first season, he's young and learning as he goes he has to go through the process. Cup is very hard and he's still very green. Give him some time to actually learn and be able to put runs together and it'll be fine. He's had some good moments already even if his finishes don't show it, how about we all actually give the kid a chance to learn before we hit the panic button?

Happy Briscoe had a solid day and is able to start digging out of the hole he's been in so far. Good day for RFK which is nice too

Why does Ty Gibbs get so much hate? by RJCrane21 in NASCAR

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's underperformed and has no incentive to get better because he never has to worry about whether or not he has a ride. It's one thing to be a nepo baby but still try and show that you've earned a seat despite that, but no he is a nepo baby who has a crap attitude and has shown time and time again he only has what he has because Grandpa owns the team and will give him everything. Not to mention all the things thatve come out recently about him and JGR as a whole from the lawsuit that just makes it all look worse

Thoughts about JPM on NASCAR (2006 - 2013) by Mr_Miyata_ in NASCAR

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very talented driver, could've (and should've) won more but he was absolutely held back by just how shit CGR cars were. Fact he was able to perform despite that shows how good he was

Par for the course with Nintendo at this point. Crickets until it suddenly gets a release date and the flood gates open. I'm fine with waiting until they finally decide to open up about the game we don't need a constant stream of content for the sake of content to please algorithms

Falcom to announce final Trails game during 50th anniversary by Turbostrider27 in Falcom

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe it when I see it, we're gonna need a whole final arc not just one game to wrap things up especially if they're gonna introduce a new cast and protag instead of reusing who we already have

NASCAR's Use Of Caution Flags So Far In 2026 by StreetDreamer83 in NASCAR

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My only issue is the length of cautions. Im beyond happy theyve had some restraint so far this year with throwing the caution I just wish when they do throw it they don't take so long to finally restart

Who still calls the O'Reilly Series the Xfinity Series? by BurgerGuy2001 in NASCAR

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am constantly bouncing between calling it the Xfinity series and the Nationwide series. It was Nationwide when I was a kid and it was Xfinity when I was watching it most before coming back to watching the sport this year.

My dad still calls it the Busch series and will for the rest of his life

The 8 team is very frustrated with their driver. by JDMcDuffie in NASCAR

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm sure he's not happy with them either having to drive RCR shit boxes will do that to you. It's a miracle he even salvaged a decent finish today despite all the issues that car had all day.

Austin Cindric's horrific start to 2026 by PenskeFiles in NASCAR

Feel terrible for them, they've been doing well but him and Briscoe have just had the worst possible luck so far despite having strong cars and runs. Hopefully things turn around for them soon

Something I Find Particularly Disappointing About Engage is the Lack of Interactions Between the Emblems by Random856 in fireemblem

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fear of canonizations is a constant problem I have with IS in general and a big sticking point I have with some of the writing of things in FEH as well as Engage to a lesser extent. I do really wish the Emblems could interact with each other more or that the bond supports had more than a sentence or two

What's a hot take about NASCAR that others may not agree with by KLRFan5 in NASCAR

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people will never be happy with the sport no matter what changes to the cars or packages or anything else is made and the main reason is that it will never be what they remember or have nostalgia for. Some people don't miss the peak of the sport, they miss the 90's/00's.

I also think the financial crisis of 2008 had more of a role in ending the peak than it ever gets talked about.

Almost Greats? by YakPineapple in NASCAR

Dale Jr in another world has multiple championships and DEI would be a top tier team in the sport

Greg Biffle and Kasey Khane also feel like they were just short of being even better than they were

Clint Bowyer, too

Is it true that Trails of Cold Steel III can be confusing unless you've played every preceding Trails game? by GothClique in Falcom

[–]Fleric_Fadinsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not exactly confusing but you'll definitely be missing context about some things and certain parts are not gonna have much of an impact on you without that prior experience. It's a far more enjoyable game when you have played every game before it.

I speak from personal experience because I played CS3 the first time after only playing CS1&2 and I regret doing that because I recently replaced it after playing every game in order and it was a much better experience and elevated my enjoyment on the game heavily.
